    Speaksee is looking for a Commercial Director to help create worldwide total accessibility of conversations for the deaf, hard of hearing and non-native speakers

    About the job

    Do you want to join us in removing communication barriers for hundreds of thousands of people? As a Commercial Director your main responsibility will be running the company from a commercial perspective. You will be in charge of devising the sales- and marketing strategy and campaigns. And the most important thing: you will be leading the commercial team towards achieving ambitious growth results.

    These are things you will be responsible for:

    • Crafting and implementing a clear commercial strategy;
    • Provide the commercial team with what they need to be successful;
    • Identifying and focusing on the right opportunities, partnerships, and sales channels to develop new business;
    • and.. as you have probably realized: with the versatility of our products there are many opportunities to explore;
    • Ensure that your team and you build relationships that make our customers fall in love with us;
    • Work with the management team to combine important insights and be involved in making the right decisions in an agile environment;
    • Creating forecasts and monitoring commercial team performance;
    • Recruitment and training of new commercial team members as we will continue to grow;
    • Overseeing marketing campaigns to ensure they align with commercial objectives and strengthen our brand position;
    • Inform the product roadmap with what's needed to drive sales;
    • Fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and accountability in the company and commercial team;

    About you

    Some things on our wishlist:

    • You find it important to have a deep (personal) understanding of the customers and market we serve;
    • You have experience in setting up effective sales funnels;
    • You're able to deal with change. New information allows you to be adaptive and capable of pivoting strategies quickly based on market feedback;
    • You are intrinsically motivated to make the world a better place by creating inclusion for people with disabilities;
    • You're a team player and listen well. To customers as well as your team;
    • You're a strong communicator and can lead the sales team by example by showing your persuasion skills;
    • You have experience with B2B sales and/or sales in the events industry;
    • You have an affinity with technology;
    • You are patient with customers who are less technical or need more time to understand how technical features work;
    • You have experience with sales tooling such as CRM systems;
    • You speak Dutch (C2 or near native) and English fluently (hard requirement);
    • You are NL-based (hard requirement);

    Both parents of founder Jari Hazelebach are deaf and that's why he experienced first-hand how extremely difficult it is for the deaf and hard-of-hearing to follow (group)conversations. It's the mission of Speaksee to make conversation accessible for as many people as possible worldwide.
