Are you in for a challenge? Here is one: as Managing Director for Spring NL you will lead a brand new team that has the goal to aggressively grow market share in the Dutch export e-commerce market.

With a new and very entrepreneurial approach. The job is all about sales, winning new customers and deliver on the promises we have made them.


Uitdagingen


The Managing Director of Spring Netherlands is end responsible for the development of the Dutch business portfolio, day-to-day management and operations, sales & marketing and control.

The Managing Director Spring Netherlands is a position with full P&L responsibility and forecast/budget authority. Spring Global Delivery Solutions is a 100% PostNL daughter company. It is the expert in cross border deliveries across the world. In Europe we have local teams in 10 countries and operate through 13 hubs. It is operating in an asset-light model which makes it very agile and flexible. Meaning that the majority of services, like linehaul and final mile delivery, are operated by partners. Spring connects without borders. We physically connect the world through our logístical e-commerce solutions. But we also connect in a personal way.

With Spring a customer is not a number, it is at the heart of what we do, which is reflected in high NPS scores.

The main goal for Spring Netherlands is to win significant market share of the Dutch B2C export market, in close collaboration with PostNL International.


The challenge for this role is to set up the Spring Netherlands organization and lead this through a very ambitious growth phase.

The Managing Director should drive this growth, also through own (strategic) sales activities. Because of the small size of the team, you take up all the challenges that come along. Spring Netherlands currently has a workforce 3 employees which are direct reports.

The direct team now consist of senior account managers and sales support and is expected to grow in line with business growth.

There is a close collaboration and functional reporting lines with other roles such as Finance, Operations, Marketing and Commercial.

The projected revenue for 2024 is €5 million and the aim is to grow to €15-20 million in the next 2-3 years.

Based on this it is assumed that the team will grow to 6 or 7 employees in the next year and to approximately 12 employees within 3 years.

As a Managing Director of SpringNL you are part of the European management team and report into the Managing Director of Europe.

For this challenging role you need to have a very entrepreneurial spirit and have extensive experience in sales at a senior level.

You do that in a very innovative manner which is complementary to the current PostNL offering.

  • Proven experience in cross border ecommerce at senior level.
  • Senior sales management experience and skills, preferably with a network of customers and contacts in the industry.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mentality.
  • Fluent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Innovative and daring to challenge the statusquo.
  • Strategic thinking skills to set the direction for the new organisation. Both for your country as well as in the European context.
  • Ability to connect a wide group of stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Strong networking skills, able to connect and mobilise people.
  • Willingness to make your hands dirty: it is a small team and not all will be arranged automatically. For this you need to be handson as well.
  • Ability to engage with a broad stakeholder group within Spring and PostNL.

  • This position is on scale 13 with a salary between € 5.894;
- and € 8.775;
- gross monthly, based on your background and level;
