    Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer / Assistant Research Officer in the School of Public Health (several posts) (Ref

    to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.


    Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.
    D., D.Sc., Dr. P.H. or equivalent) in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health or related disciplines, with at least 5 years' relevant work experience.

    They should have a strong research-related background; multiple years of experience in leading academic and project management aspects of research studies, demonstrated expertise in the working with large and complex datasets; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

    They should be organized, responsible, resourceful and attentive to details. Those with lower academic qualification and less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Research Officer.

    A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical/dental benefits.

    The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer, and 15% for Research Officer.

    Housing benefits will be provided to Research Officer if applicable.
