The role


For the Functional Characterization and Bioassays team we are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Scientist to cover a leave for 6 months.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary international team that manufactures state-of-the-art antibody therapeutics.

The group develops bioactivity assays used by internal and external parties, such as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), to demonstrate the quality and characteristics of our antibody products.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing bioassay development and qualification activities, collaborating with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and CMOs, and for providing internal support for early-stage development projects.

Responsibilities:


  • Proactively work in a diverse team of Scientists and Research Associates dedicated to developing and qualifying assays for batch release and characterization.
  • Supervision of Research Associates.
  • Study lead of assay development and qualification.
  • Support transferring assays to CRO/CMO and troubleshooting of transferred methods.
  • Focus on output and achieving goals.
  • Performing wet laboratory work.
  • Accurate documentation of results assuring data integrity.
  • Perform data analysis, draw conclusions and report to the team.
  • Writing and reviewing protocols, job instructions and reports.
  • Set highquality standards and take initiatives to improve your work.

Requirements:


  • Completed PhD or 5+ years of automation experience.
  • Expert in assay development.
  • Relevant experience in performing bioassays manually and/or on automated systems for at least 3 years.
  • Experience with liquid handlers, such as Tecan.
  • Experience in maintenance, use and programming of liquid handlers.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and work well under deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiar with statistical and data analysis software, such as Excel, GraphPad, and JMP.
  • Experience with DoE is preferred.
  • Handson experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, and bioassays.
  • Experience with assay development within a GMP environment is a plus.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • You are fluent in English as this is Genmab's business language.
