Junior Project Communications Manager, who is a hands-on team player, passionate about science, and delivers great communication results


About Lygature
Lygature is an established not-for-profit organization that drives partnerships to address unmet medical needs worldwide.

Current challenges in health care require collaboration across disciplines and stakeholder groups, such as industry, academia, health foundations, and patients.

As an independent third-party Lygature is a proud contributor to the success of many different multilateral collaborations, including IDERHA, the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium, Regulatory Science Network Netherlands and UNITE4TB.

About this role

As a Junior Project Communications Manager, you will play an important role in a large array of communication activities within several projects and initiatives at Lygature.

In your role, you will focus on implementing and executing communication plans co-developed with other communication colleagues and Program Managers.

With your background in the life sciences & health sector, interest in and affinity for digital communication, you will be well suited to help translate a communication strategy into clear actions to secure attention and create engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Codevelop communication plans for large publicprivate partnerships, in collaboration with a senior communication colleague
• Produce written communication content, such as press releases, news items, and social media posts
• Continuously improve the quality of the communication support we provide
• Contribute to the shared expertise of the Lygature communications team

Requirements:

• You hold a Master of Science in a biomedical or life science discipline, or a Master of Science in Science Communication
• You preferably have one year of relevant experience in science journalism, a communication agency, digital communications, corporate communications, or media relations
• You are a selfstarter, handson, precise, and versatile
• You are familiar with digital content creation tools and platforms, or are eager to learn how to use them
• You can work well independently but are also a keen team player
• You have experience or a strong interest in research & innovation in the life sciences
• You are fluent in Dutch (C1 level) and English, both spoken and written
