    Description

    & Summary

    PwC's Risk and Regulation ("R&R") team provides consulting services to insurance companies and other financial institutions on accounting related matters under IFRS or Dutch GAAP, and related areas such as sustainability reporting, Solvency II and risk and regulatory topics. This creates interesting positions for professionals acting as advisors in the area of complex technical accounting, sustainability, risk and regulatory matters for insurance companies and other financial institutions. We are expanding our diverse practice and looking for experienced accounting professionals.

    What you will be doing

    your main focus will be advising clients on various topics, including IFRS (with a particular emphasis on IFRS 17), Dutch GAAP, sustainability reporting, Solvency II, and risk and regulatory matters, as well as the impact of upcoming regulations. It is crucial for this role that you stay updated on recent developments in IFRS, Dutch GAAP, sustainability reporting, and Solvency II.

    Together with the team, you will be responsible for the entire process from the first contact with the client until the finalization of the project deliverable. Additional responsibilities include the following areas:

  • Managing the projects related to complex accounting and regulatory matters;
  • Supporting in the management of a client portfolio, by reporting to (senior) managers and/or partners or directors;
  • Identifying business opportunities, preparing client proposals and provide input to the overall business planning as well as build relationships and network with clients and internally across PwC;
  • Working with different professionals and departments in order to arrive at an optimum result for our clients; and
  • Supervising and coaching your team members to ensure that they are able to continue developing both professionally and personally.

    • Does this describe you?
    You are a passionate technical specialist with a technical background in accounting and/or assurance. You would like to further improve your advisory skills, develop relationships with clients, make impact, get the most out of yourself and your colleagues. Furthermore:

  • You hold a university (level) degree in economics/law/business administration/econometrics/mathematics or equivalent;
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the financial institutions, preferably with a focus on insurance;
  • You have an affinity for technical and complex issues related to accounting and regulatory matters;
  • You would like to continuously deepen your knowledge and are flexible to learn new concepts;
  • You also possess strong project management, leadership and communication skills equally as a pragmatic, proactive and solutions-oriented attitude.
  • You work well under pressure and are committed to meet deadlines;
  • You are a team player and would like to be part of a team with different (cultural) backgrounds;
  • You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
