Your mission:


Job Purpose:

Oversees the legal matters of group entities, including drafting agreements and ensuring compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.

Advises other teams on various legal questions. Supports the head of legal and compliance on the group level.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for all legal and compliance matters of the Group, ensuring and assisting the head of legal and compliance on legal questions involving the group.

The scope of responsibility is at group levels for all legal and compliance-related tasks.

Corporate Duties/Governance Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Legal in supporting Board communications and approvals, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Collaborate with the local legal team to deliver and manage legal services across the group's different functions and entities, contributing valuable insights and support.
• Draft resolutions and submit necessary forms and annual returns to regulatory bodies.
• Provide input and assistance to the Head of Legal on general corporate law matters, financing transactions, and corporate structures.

Commercial responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as Master Services Agreements (MSA), operation and maintenance contracts, and other legal documents to protect and uphold the company's legal rights.
• Establish and maintain a process for documenting contracts, corporate documents, permits, and essential communications.
• Provide strategic legal support to business development activities on local and group legal matters pertaining to commercial transactions and partnerships, contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.

Compliance & Organization Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of the Legal Department in creating, directing, and motivating a functional Legal and Compliance department.
• Monitor changes in legislation and the regulatory environment and take the necessary action.
• Support the development of internal governance policies and ensure their alignment with industry standards

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with service providers and clients to ensure proper contractual documentation for transparent working relationships.
• Collaborates with local counsels and auditors for countryspecific legal matters.
• Occasionally, coordinate any additional relevant tasks required by the company.

Your profile:

• Education
• Minimum Master's degree level qualification in Law
• Experience 23 years of work experience in a similar role (legal counsel) at an institution of high regard.
• Professional experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors is a plus.
• Other personal and

• Excellent written, verbal, and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong attention to detail and unwavering integrity and confidentiality.
• Diplomatic and pragmatic work approach, adept at collaborating with senior team members and challenging the status quo where necessary.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask accurately.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus
