    Role Context

    TIP has expanded its business by 100 % over the recent past, which requires a considerable review of our finance systems environment in order to accommodate the current and possibly future expansion and to allow timely decision making in the business. As part of this process a new ERP will be selected and implemented which will provide a seamless integration with our leasing and maintenance systems. To support this process we are recruiting a ERP finance functional lead who will coordinate and deliver the finance functional workstreams in the ERP project which is led through IT.

    In pursuit of these goals the ERP Finance Functional lead will work closely with a broad set of stakeholders from across the business and IT as well as work with external implementation and technology partners. Though based in Amsterdam, the role will involve travel.

    The ERP Finance Functional lead reports to the Group financial controller and with a dotted line to the ERP Business functional Sponsor.

    Role summary

    ERP Selection Project – Functional Workstream lead responsibilities

  • Finance lead for ERP Selection on behalf of CFO.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control of the functional workstream. Co-ordinating across Finance teams, taking a holistic view of processes ensuring TO-BE solution meets the needs of TIP Finance.
  • Ownership for definition for AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
  • Responsible for definition of AS-IS and TO-BE processes for ERP for TIP.Responsible for definition of requirements statements for RFI and RFP.Responsible for all functional requirements for ERP working with other business areas outside Finance to capture all processes with entry and exit points to Finance.Responsible for definition of reporting requirements from ERP.
  • Responsible for the definition of the requirements for the identified Business Critical / Specific to TIP identified processes. Driving out the detail ensuring the critical elements of the processes are clearly understood and documented for the RFI and RFP.
  • Responsible for definition on all processes working closely with other teams e.g Asset Management to ensure end to end as-is and to-be processes are defined for the Business Critical / Specific to TIP identified processes.
  • Working closely with technical workstream lead to ensure business AS-IS and TO-BE requirements are understood and are reflected in any TO-BE technical solution design.
  • Take Finance lead role on data model design for the new ERP and associated system integrations working closely with BI and IT Technical teams.
  • Responsible for definition of Historical Data Requirements e.g., data migration.
  • Responsible for Finance sign off for RFI and RFP content ensuring covers to agreed level of detail.
  • Input to the definition of Solution and Vendor selection criteria for RFI and RFP.
  • Input to the scoring of RFI and RFP vendor responses.
  • Input to the definition of benefits for the ERP CBA.
  • Understanding of existing TIP systems landscape and awareness of potential solutions such as RPA that could form part of the ERP TO-BE Process and solution design.
  • Identifying, securing, and managing finance resources with appropriate skill set meet project defined deliverables and timescales.
  • Responsible for resolving or escalating for areas of contention across the finance teams being empowered to make decisions.
  • Provide progress updates and escalation of Risks and Issues to the Project Manager.
  • Implementation and workstream management: Ensure the successful implementation of the Strategic strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables. Operate as the steerco leader on each of the workstreams in collaboration with external implementation partners and shared services providers
  • Reporting: Provide Program reporting to Senior Management through a relevant set of Strategic related financial and KPI information
  • Cost management: Oversee project costs and present cost-benefit analyses to support business case development and the implementation of projects
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a small team of professionals. Indirectly manage a vast network of finance and operational stakeholders; Ensure adequate understanding and buy in on the program and the progress of its activities
  • The role has no direct reports but

    • Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies
  • Highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment
  • Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning
  • Highly proficient IT skills in ERP, FPA and good working knowledge of abilities of RPA, ML, ER, AL, predictive analytics and IA
  • Senior management experience
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations
  • Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Training and coaching of Project Managers and diverse sets of staff
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods
  • Ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organisation
  • Maintain effective relationship with third party suppliers
  • Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.

    • Requirements

  • Experienced MBA / RA / RC
  • > 15 years PQE
  • Operated as external or internal consultant on large change and finance Strategic programs across geographies and entities in a decentral environment
  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Systems literate and experienced in implementing ERP's, finance systems (HFM, Analytics etc) and finance automation (RPA, Machine learning etc)
  • Previously operated as Steerco leader and holds degree in project / program management
  • Lean 6 Sigma or other process improvement degrees are a benefit
  • Previously part of or led ERP selection and implementation
  • English speaker and a second language would be an advantage
