    & Summary

    In our digital transformation team, we work on change projects with the impact of digital technologies on business models playing a crucial role. We work closely with our clients to make best use of data and technology during these complex processes, boost innovation and help them transform to a future-proof and agile business model. A changing business model and the evolving technological landscape make a coherent architecture crucial in supporting these transformations. Digital transformations driven by the impact of new legislation (e.g. ESG), reporting rules and reporting requirements (e.g. during an IPO) require organisations to have reliable data available quickly. Such challenges require a multidisciplinary approach with architectures from business, data and technology perspectives coming together with effective data governance and management of data quality.

    What will you be doing?

    As Manager Data Architect in our digital transformation team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data and technology architectures. You will operate in multidisciplinary teams (including digital transformation consultants, data analysts, software developers and ERP & technology specialists) in the successful execution of challenging digital transformation projects in which data play an important role. You will often assume the role of project manager, acting as the client's contact point and being responsible for correct delivery of the end product. Your role for a particular project will be the one best suited to the specific transformation project: from strategic reorientation, to choosing technology, to actual implementation and process optimisation of the data and technology architecture.

    As a Manager Data Architect, the activities that you will be working on include:

  • developing and shaping digital and data strategies and solutions, along with the associated solution design, target operating model and roadmap for the client, which are necessary for the success of the digital transformation (e.g. during an IPO or major transformation);
  • defining the current data and technology landscape and developing data (cloud or otherwise) and technology target architectures for large-scale and future-proof data platforms;
  • evaluating and detailing architecture (cloud or otherwise) requirements (functional and non-functional) in which you advise on architectural improvements and assist in technology selection processes;
  • preparing functional and technical design documentation (including design principles, design considerations, requirements, technology solutions, testing guidelines, etc.) for the implementation of data and technology architectures;
  • identifying data in financial and operational processes and unlocking and optimising data for financial reporting processes;
  • supervising a team of digital transformation consultants, data analysts and data engineers to implement end-to-end data solutions.

    You are people-oriented and socially adept in political, dynamic and complex environments. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams. You are also a team player and a good listener who can clearly communicate ideas to colleagues and clients to find the best solutions together. You have a combination of strategic and analytical insights, a passion for data, technology and for your work, and you are a go-getter. In addition, you can create powerful reports and visuals and give convincing presentations for senior and other management. You are bursting with energy and:

  • you have at least five years of relevant work experience with data and technology architecture within transformation projects in complex environments;
  • you have a university degree in a subject such as technical or non-technical business administration, information management, data science, computer sciences or similar;
  • you have demonstrable experience and affinity with IT, digitisation, information management and advanced technical skills in data and software development;
  • extensive knowledge of architecture methods and frameworks, such as TOGAF and ArchiMate;
  • you have experience in data management disciplines, such as data mesh architecture, data modelling and/or data governance;
  • knowledge of the cloud and hands-on experience with technologies from cloud providers including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform is a plus;
  • you are people-oriented and socially adept in political, dynamic, and complex environments. You are also creative when it comes to managing different stakeholders;
  • you are able to draw up powerful reports and give convincing presentations to senior management;
  • you are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
