Information about the position Trust & Safety Trust & Safety is tasked with ensuring a safe experience for Vinted sellers and buyers. Trust & Safety teams combine code, data, design, algorithmic detection, human moderation, and policies to build a resilient system of defences as Vinted scales, ensuring safe growth for the platform. Trust is a fundamental currency in Vinted, underpinning interactions across the entire customer journey. To this end, Trust & Safety domain is tasked with overseeing topics such as account integrity, detecting fake and fraudulent accounts, moderating counterfeit content, but also posing recommendations to other Product domains around improving the safety of overall member experience at Vinted. This is a well established domain, operating at pace with multiple teams and a broad set of dependencies. As a leader you will work with your functional peers in Engineering, Analytics and Design to evaluate and build upon current domain strategy, improve organisational setup, hire talent to build stronger capabilities in key areas. When you start in this role you will be expected to hit the ground running. This will include setting domain goals, driving delivery on already identified opportunities, leading planning for new tracks in an ongoing domain reorganisation effort. Longer-term, the challenge will be to move the needle on strategic goals for the domain around minimising harm to Vinted users, by consolidating existing solutions, tools, capabilities to deliver an effective ecosystem for prevention, detection and sanctioning of malicious activity. In this position, you'll
    • Drive domain product vision and collaborate with your peers in Engineering, Design and Analytics
    • Continuously align priorities, objectives and clarify what success looks like
    • Own the product prioritisation, set in alignment with functional peers and key stakeholders across other Product domains, Marketplace programs, Legal and operational teams in Community Support and Harmful Listing Moderation
    • Hire, recruit and support the growth of your Product Managers
    • Manage and coach Safety Ops lead, ensuring goals for the Safety Ops (fraud investigators) team reflect domain prioritisation and needs
    • Own Trust & Safety related Marketplace risk management
    About you
    • 6+ years of experience in product management or equivalent practical experience with 4+ years of developing people and managing teams. Strong preference for experienced candidates in Trust & Safety Product development
    • Thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics and user interactions, honed through 2+ years of experience in marketplaces, social networks with e-commerce element or similar
    • Strong analytical skills and a thorough strategic perspective
    • Clear bias for impact and speed in product discovery and delivery
    • Experience building strong, collaborative teams and shipping great products
    • An excellent communicator, including in written and spoken English
