    GENERAL SUMMARY: The EMEA Operations Director is responsible for all operations and distribution aspects of the company's businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") by working directly with the Managing Director EMEA to develop and implement the future strategy of the EMEA business while also overseeing company planning and forecasting, logistics, operations, inventory management, and appropriate internal controls.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Partner with the Managing Director EMEA and other global cross-functional team members to develop growth strategy for EMEA region, including intercompany relationships.
    • As a result of strategic planning and process optimization processes, provides the leadership and management of operations related tasks which may include the establishment of new operating facilities within the region.
    • Provides leadership and guidance to distribution partners and team members towards the realization of company goals and objectives.
    • Responsible for supporting the management of the operations functions in all of the regional facilities including our partners' facilities. These functions may include customer services, facility management, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, inventory management, instrument set management, minimizing backorders, quality/regulatory compliance, safety, and cost controls including freight spend.
    • Oversees HealthLink and Osteoplus (3PL) relationships and the translation of customer needs to operational and logistic coordination.
    • Manages Corporate office interaction (including Pega and Apifix supply) and the supporting resources to monitor and resolve daily and project related issues.
    • Works with all EMEA facilities to define supporting documents, provide company direction and decisions to help resolve immediate customer needs.
    • Monitors EMEA facilities and logistics charges and manages discrepancies while controlling costs.
    • Quality advocate to help define the EMEA facilities' clarity on direction, real time.
    • Oversee Sterile, Loaner and Set Deployments through EMEA facilities.
    • Helps with the forecasting and inventory analysis to right size the correct inventory levels.
    • With Internal Audit, establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
    • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
    • Supports the development and direction of the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems, including the company's expansion in new agencies, onboarding acquisitions and growth in current markets.
    • Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages 3 rd party resources and does not have any direct reports initially but will grow with the department and region. Will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring and ongoing management of new operations related EMEA teammates in response to business growth.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Ten or more years of progressively responsible related experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field. Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of distribution and logistics, supply chain principles and best practices, warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to speak English and Dutch is strongly preferred.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform various financial and operational analyses.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Requires a valid driver's license.

    Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to motivate teams to produce quality product within tight timeframes and concurrently manage several projects. Ability to participate and facilitate group meetings.
