Wil jij de spil zijn in het ontwerpproces in een icoonproject als de Oosterweelverbinding in Antwerpen?
Onze infrastructuur projecten vormen complexe vraagstukken die van de betrokken vakdisciplines een integrale benadering van het ontwerp én de uitvoering vragen om te komen tot een gedragen oplossing. Disciplines als wegontwerp, architectuur, het constructief en geotechnisch ontwerp, technische installaties, landschapsinrichting, waterhuishouding, planning en kostencalculatie dienen in hoge mate samen te werken om tot een optimaal, geïntegreerd en slim ontwerp te komen waarin tegemoet gekomen wordt aan de wensen en de eisen van onze opdrachtgevers.
Jouw rol als virtual structural designer is om samen in een team met constructeurs, geotechnici en de ontwerpleider een geometrisch 3D model van de constructie (bijvoorbeeld tunnels, viaducten of onderdoorgangen) in bijvoorbeeld Autodesk Revit op te zetten. Je gebruikt je kennis van constructies om te komen tot een uitvoerbaar basisontwerp. Vanuit deze basis wordt jouw 3D model vervolgens gedurende het ontwerpproces gevoed met informatie vanuit de andere vakdisciplines. Aanpassingen moeten worden doorgevoerd, eerdere oplossingen zullen moeten worden heroverwogen.
Je bent de spil in dit ontwerpproces en draagt zorg voor een uniforme informatievoorziening naar alle disciplines, zodat iedereen met de laatste informatie werkt. Je integreert alle deelontwerpen van de betrokken disciplines in jouw 3D model, signaleert clashes tussen de verschillende deelontwerpen en zoekt met de betrokkenen naar oplossingen voor deze clashes.
Jouw integrale 3D model is dé graadmeter voor de stand van zaken van het ontwerp voor onze opdrachtgevers. Met behulp van onder andere VR en AR technieken weet je het ontwerp tastbaar en inzichtelijk te maken voor onze opdrachtgevers om bijvoorbeeld de omwonenden in de directe omgeving van het project.
