The Portfolio Optimization team within Eneco Energy Trade is responsible for optimizing financial results, mitigating long term risks and thereby contributing to the energy transition.

As a Portfolio Manager within the Portfolio Optimisation (PO) team - Power, Gas & Certificates, at Eneco Energy Trade, you will optimize the Eneco portfolio for the long term.

Optimizing means ensuring that our portfolio remains balanced across market price, weather, cash flow, and other risks. At the same time, optimization entails exploring creative ways to extract more value from the portfolio.

For Eneco (given our sustainable portfolio), optimal portfolio management is where we make the difference, both towards our clients and assets compared to our competitors, and of course, the environment.

  • Have completed an academic education with 03 years of work experience
  • Possess strong analytical skills and modeling abilities. Good knowledge and skills in Excel are required. [experience with Python is a plus].
  • Have the professional skills to structure, coordinate, and improve businesscritical/operational processes. You thrive on delving into details and come up with solutions.
  • Have entrepreneurial drive. You are resultsoriented, competitive, creative, and adaptable. You are commercially minded, and working in a trading environment with P&L responsibility appeals to you.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership. By this, we mean gaining trust and taking responsibility, resulting in actively seeking out opportunities and risks. You are proactive and assertive.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a prerequisite for this position.
We are seeking a colleague at the junior/medior level. Work experience in the field of trading/analysis is preferred but not required

  • You'll be responsible forAs Junior Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for the energy portfolio of Eneco and work within the Power, Gas, and Certificates team:
  • Together with the team, you are responsible for the P&L of our portfolios.
  • You identify market trends and act on them by proactively adjusting procurement and sales. You engage in discussions with your colleagues of Structuring & Origination team or Eneco's Retail and Business department. You also work closely with our trader for market advise and access.
  • You report on positions, MarktoMarket (MtM), and P&L on your portfolio and mitigate risks. You are responsible for maintaining tools, reports, and operational implementation, and expanding them based on new markets and products and/or stakeholder requirements.
  • You set up different hedging strategies and are proactively involved in the design of (new) structured deals.
  • You create business cases and models for valuing commodity flows, particularly from external structured deals.
  • The focus of the work will be on Eneco's Certificates portfolio, consisting of certificates from different countries.
