    Who we are:

    We are hiring a Manager, Media Rights Administration to join our AMC Studios International team based in Amsterdam. AMC Studios International is part of the global division of AMC Networks, delivers entertaining and acclaimed programming that reaches subscribers in more than 130 countries and territories. AMCNI consists of global brands, AMC, SundanceTV, Shudder, IFC, We tv, as well as popular, locally recognized channels in various programming genres. Including the support of various VOD/EST platform services around the world.

    The Role:

    The Manager Media Rights Administration is responsible for overseeing end-to-end deliveries of all AMC-owned or AMC-licensed content to make sure that materials are provided to third parties on time and in specifications outlined by the clients. Tasks include liaising with multiple language facilities on production timelines and component requirements ,ordering and collecting all video and audio assets, foreign language files, metadata, and all supplemental paperwork for the content owned by AMC and/or controlled by AMC Studios International B.V.

    In addition, the Manager, Media Rights Administration will also oversee the inbound asset deliveries, QC processes and archive all foreign language assets to which AMC Networks hold the rights and shall also communicate with the sales team to ensure timely delivery of requested content to our clients according to agreed delivery terms & timelines.

    The Manager, Media Rights Administration will share expertise and provide support to internal AMC's sales, marketing and legal teams and external clients to fulfil international sales deals successfully. This support includes advising on costs, delivery timelines and technical specifications; managing promotional video creation and upload to the Showcase client viewing site(s); registering deal completion for revenue recognition and daily communication with clients.

    The Manager will maintain and oversee our digital archives at key locations. The controlled archives are situated in the cloud and on premises in Amsterdam, UK, and New York. The Manager will liaise with the AMC Networks operations department and media services team in NY on delivery of all materials required to fulfil international content distribution agreements entered by AMC Networks.

    This role will be offered as a 12-month contract based in our office in Amsterdam. We are currently working in a hybrid way, from the office and from home.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Content distribution for international sales: ordering of required language components and collecting of video and audio assets, foreign language files, metadata, images, and other materials associated with the programs owned or controlled by AMC Studios International B.V.
  • To fulfil internal and external client deliveries. In addition, communicating with external vendors on delivery schedules and ensuring delivery timelines are not jeopardized.
  • Quality controlling of all media components upon delivery to and from AMC Studios International B.V. making sure that materials are archived and delivered with correct specifications. Including handling of QC rejections and solving issues reported by clients.
  • Continuously sharing information and expertise with AMC operations and the AMC marketing and sales departments in New York and Los Angeles to ensure that we have the most current assets on-hand and available in required specs and timelines to fulfil deal deliveries successfully.
  • Managing our digital archive so that material assets are stored in an organized manner, easy to access and readily available for delivery to support our clients' needs.
  • Support the AMC's Marketing teams by collecting and archiving all additional digital promotional content created by AMC Networks and managing video creation and upload to the Showcase client viewing site(s). Including secure content delivery to screenings and film festivals where AMC are participating and showing their (pre-released) content.
  • Informing all involved parties on the completion of content deliveries, including registering deal completion in multiple systems for revenue recognition.
  • Initiate and supervise edits, as necessary, to make various versions of content for delivery in accordance with client's specifications.
  • Participate in special projects such as launches, workflow improvements and perform other duties as assigned.

    • Key Competencies Required:

  • Strong communication and writing skills in English – Dutch language skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to prioritize and plan accordingly while managing multiple important global content premieres.
  • Detail-oriented mentality and ability to accurately interpret data. Able to operate and adjust by departmental KPI's.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A team player.
  • Ability to function in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to adequately response to challenges ensuring business continuity and maintaining the level of quality.
  • Experience in working with various CMS systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of current OTT landscape, apps and digital media, and a great passion for linear and non-linear entertainment in the media realm.
  • Solid understanding of international TV digital technical formats.
  • Experience with the variety of media QC tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with distribution systems such as Aspera / Signiant, Media Shuttle, (s)FTP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, Visio).
  • Mac and PC knowledge are a must.
  • Broad knowledge in localization processes and standard and practices in territories where AMC content is distributed.
