    Job Description

    At the location of ADM Europoort , such as flour and oil for the food and animal feed industry. More than 325 people work at ADM Europoort in the bulk terminal, crush & extraction factory, refinery and soy protein concentrate (SPC) factory. These departments are supported by our own chemical and microbiological laboratory, maintenance & reliability department and the SHEQ department. We also work closely with our in-house contractors who provide (industrial) cleaning, scaffolding, insulation work and technical support.

    The ADM Europoort office also houses large commercial and logistics departments, process automation and CAPEX project management teams; as well as departments for payroll, HR and IT.

    Site Environmental Manager

    This role will report to the regional environmental director and work directly with the site SHEQ Manager.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Primary environmental contact and support for the facility;

    • Monitor the site's activities and implement actions to ensure compliance with all ADM, European, Dutch and local government environmental regulations and requirements;

    • Communicate with regulatory agencies as required for environmental issues;

    • Prepare appropriate permit applications and regulatory applicability analysis for environmental regulations and requirements;

    • Maintain and manage the site's EMS including, but not limited to policy, standardization, procedure development, incident investigations – root cause analyses, risk reduction efforts, inspections, audits and training;

    • Participate in and lead environmental audits or environmental agency visits and prioritize, assign and track the audit findings for completion;

    • Prepare required reports and maintain all necessary records/documentation related to environmental programs for the facility, such as EU-ETS and ePRTR (eMJV);

    • Develop and provide training for employees and contractors related to the environmental programs;

    • Participate in the site's performance excellence program.

    Skills

    • Knowledge of environmental regulations, management systems and permitting;

    • Good project/program management skills;

    • Proven problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills;

    • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicator, including the ability to organize and lead meetings;

    • Team player, collaborative, and good influencing skill

    • Languages: Fluency in Dutch and English
