The role

In this role, you will be mainly focused on executing the network planning to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions for our interregional transport across Europe.

To achieve these objectives, you'll need a comprehensive overview of daily tray-type stocks, aligning with weekly forecast expectations and a deep understanding of transport and depot agreements.

Building strong communication channels will be crucial, as you bridge the gap between offices, depots, and transporters to foster collaboration.

Crafting and implementing operational plans, based on forecasts and stock levels, will be essential for on-time deliveries.

Additionally, you'll be at the forefront of cost-effective and Sustainable transportation such as Intermodal and Biofuel, serving as the main contact for stakeholders in various regions and ensuring transparent communication.

As an active participant in transport capacity acquisition, you are up to date on market prices, monitor trends, and provide insights into cost-saving alternatives.

This may involve identifying new lanes and agreements to optimize our transport network.

Beyond these responsibilities, you'll handle essential administrative tasks critical for effective and efficient transport organization.

This includes establishing transporter relations in our logistics system, verifying the completion of agreed transports, following up Transport KPI ́s and reporting to the Forecasting and Demand planner and our procurement department.

Your proactive attitude will be valued as you actively follow up on administrative tasks associated with transport operations.

You
You need to manage various stakeholders and lots of real-time-data across different departments and regions. Therefore, you have a proven track record in stakeholder management and take ownership and responsibility for the planning.

Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of transport and logistics, and you can withstand stressful situations and adapt if necessary.

Further:

• You have at least a higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) level of work and thinking preferably in Logistics.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a related environment (e.g. international freight forwarding or supply or demand cross regional challenges).
• Proficient IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• You have proficiency in English, spoken and written. An additional language is beneficial preferably (e.g., Dutch, German, Spanish or French).
