About the job

About you

You will be working in the international and intercultural logistics team of Danone's Nutricia Global Distribution& Logistics department, in particular the Supply Chain team consisting of 6 people who are responsible for centralized warehouse and related transportation.

Nutricia Global Distribution & Logistics department is a Danone subsidiary responsible for the management of the logístical activities of Finished Goods (FG) from all Nutricia Supply Points and 3rd Parties to all Nutricia Medical Country Business Units, via our centralized warehouse located in the Netherlands.

Within this internship you will mainly be learning about / working on:

Supporting daily
ROW (Rest Of World) operations:
Supporting and driving improvement in
Carrier Performance:
The organization and scheduling of
Outbound Shipments & Inbound Shipments:
Requesting and managing
Airfreight Quotes related to deployment demand.
Create and follow up
Purchase Orders:
Create and follow up
ASN Messages (Advanced Shipping Notification)
Update
Internship Work instructions when necessary
Assist in
Invoicing Checks including follow up.

You are a student in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields. You have an accurate and detail-oriented mindset through which you demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills. Furthermore, you are a great communicator and take ownership of your responsibilities and are able to work autonomously. With this being said, you are definitely not afraid to reach out to internal and external stakeholders. Being curious, eager to learn and proactive are characteristics that describe you. Aside of this advanced Excel skills are required.

Additionally, you must meet our hard requirements:

You are a
HBO/WO student nearing the end of their bachelors/master's degree:
You are
enrolled during the whole internship period (if you are a nonEU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
You are available to start in
June 2024 for a minimum of
6 months, 5 days per week;
You are fluent in
English:
spoken and written; French is considered as a plus
You are able to work from
Zoetermeer, NL
Please note that you must acquire a
BSN number to be able to complete this internship.

About us
You will work closely with several professionals, among which Ruben Dessalegne.

Ruben started at Danone as a transport intern and is working at Danone for 4 years now, in the special nutrition supply chain department.

He is currently working as the transport manager overseeing transport operations from our centralized warehouse in the Netherlands.

You'll be a part of diverse and engaging work environment with 30+ different nationalities working in the D&L department. The transport team itself consists of 5 coordinators who manage their respective portfolios. The team works together closely to support one another and ensure a high service level to our worldwide stakeholders.

We Offer
We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
