    Job description

    For research on the mental health of ondocumented migrants in the Netherlands, we are looking for an ambitious research assistant. The aim of this study is to
    evaluate the effectiveness of a group intervention for refugees. You will be responsible for the recruitment of participants, the assessment of questionnaires and analysing collected data. Writing scientific papers as part of this study is a possibility.

    Your duties
  • recruitment of new participants for the study in close collaboration with the NGO in Amsterdam where the study will be carried out
  • collect questionnaire data from participants before and after the intervention
  • remain in contact with participants and with the NGO where the study will be carried out to answer questions
  • contribute to data analysis
  • Requirements

  • (nearly) completed master's degree in psychology, medicine, sociology, anthropology or a similar domain
  • interest in scientific research and in further develop your research skills
  • available for 24-28 hours a week as of January 1st 2024
  • fluency in English; fluency in another language relevant for the target population (for example French, Arabic, Farsi or Tigrinya) is an advantage, as well as experience working with translators
  • experience with the target population of undocumented migrants or refugees and working in an intercultural setting is an advantage
  • What are we offering?

    A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €2,618 (scale 1)
    and a maximum €2,846 (scale 3), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.6 FTE.

    The initial employment contract will affect a period of 6 months.
