    Het ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy is op zoek naar een hands-on Front Office Host die onderdeel uitmaakt van een volledig nieuw op te starten front office team. In jouw rol rapporteer je aan de Front Office Shiftleader.

    Het hotel heeft 250 kamers en is gelegen in het 'Hart van Zuid', op steenworpafstand Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center en het Zuidplein. Het restaurant en terras met uitzicht over het zuiderpark wordt de Italian hotspot van Rotterdam-zuid met versbereide Napolitaanse Zuurdesem Pizza's en Italian inspired cocktails. De verwachte opening van het hotel is September 2023.

    Samen met het team doe je er alles aan om er voor te zorgen dat de gastenbeleving van aankomst tot vertrek optimaal is. In alles wat je doet stel je het menselijk oogpunt centraal. Je zorgt er samen met je collega's voor dat de aankomsten goed voorbereid zijn, de e-mails en telefoontjes correct en tijdig beantwoordt worden, de lobby en mini-supermarkt er representatief bij staan, etc

    Functieomschrijving

    Tot je taken en verantwoordelijkheden behoren:

    • Check-in & check-out verzorgen van hotelgasten (cashless hotel);
    • Beantwoorden van e-mails, telefoons, verzoeken en/of vragen van hotelgasten;
    • Bij een melding van een klacht weet je de gast goed te woord te staan en haal je de shiftleader erbij;
    • Bevorderen van upselling zoals early check-in/Late check-out/Room upgrades;
    • Je zorgt mee ervoor dat targets behaald worden en elke gast een 10 achterlaat;
    • Leveren van een optimale service van aankomst van de gast tot en met het vertrek;
    • In kaart brengen van structurele knelpunten en aandragen van verbeterpunten.
    • Je bent de spil in het web en communiceert meermaals per shift met je collega's van Housekeeping, F&B, Technische dienst en het management;
    • Overige administratieve taken eigen aan de receptie.

    • Functie-eisen
    • Minimaal 1 jaar ervaring binnen Front Office als front office medewerker Mocht je dit niet hebben, maar lijkt deze baan jou wat dan leren we je het graag;
    • Je bent een toegankelijke persoon en spontaan;
    • Bij voorkeur wonend in de omgeving van Rotterdam of affiniteit hebben met de stad;
    • Minimaal 2-talig (NL/ENG) en relationeel en communicatief capabel om op verschillende niveau's te communiceren
    • Je vindt het fijn om in de ochtend en avond te werken. Je begrijpt als geen ander dat weekendwerk en op feestdagen tot de mogelijkheid behoort.
    • Recent certificaat bedrijfshulpverlening (BHV)(of bereid dit te behalen);

    The ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy is looking for a hands-on Front Office Host. In your role you report to the Assistant Reception Manager.

    The hotel has 250 rooms and is located in the 'Hart van Zuid', a stone's throw from the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center and the Zuidplein. The restaurant and terrace with a view over the Zuiderpark will become the Italian hotspot of Rotterdam South with freshly prepared Neapolitan Sourdough Pizzas and Italian inspired cocktails.

    Together with the team, you do everything you can to ensure that the guest experience is optimal from arrival to departure. You put the human point of view at the center of everything you do. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that arrivals are well prepared, that e-mails and telephone calls are answered correctly and in time, that the lobby and mini-supermarket are presentable, etc.

    Job description

    Your duties and responsibilities include:

    • Check-in & check-out of hotel guests (cashless hotel);
    • Answering emails, telephones, requests and/or questions from hotel guests;
    • When a complaint is reported, you know how to speak to the guest properly and you get the shift leader involved;
    • Promote upselling such as early check-in/late check-out/room upgrades;
    • You help ensure that targets are achieved and every guest leaves a 10;
    • Providing an optimal service from the arrival of the guest to the departure;
    • Identifying structural bottlenecks and suggesting points for improvement.
    • You are the linchpin in the web and communicate several times per shift with your colleagues from Housekeeping, F&B, Technical Service and management;
    • Other administrative tasks specific to the reception.

    • Job requirements
    • At least 1 year of experience within the Front Office as a front office employee. If you don't have this, but this job sounds like something to you, we'd love to teach you;
    • You are an accessible person and spontaneous;
    • Preferably living in the Rotterdam area or having an affinity with the city;
    • At least 2 languages (NL/ENG) and relational and communicative capable of communicating on different levels
    • You enjoy working in the morning and evening. You understand better than anyone that weekend work and public holidays are possible.
    • Recent certificate in company emergency response (BHV) (or willing to obtain this).
