Recently, I have completed my master's in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (Graduation in October). This program provided me with great insights on the governance of crises as well as other crisis related issues. 

Prior to my masters program I have completed my bachelor studies with majors in politics, human geography and psychology. Therefore, I can offer interdisciplinary approaches to relevant issues.

Overall, my greatest interests lie in international politics, geopolitics and crisis management. I aim to further develop my knowledge by attending conferences, such as a conference in geopolitics by the geneva institute of geopolitical studies. 

Moreover, I believe that productive discussions are vital to not only improving my personal skills, but also to solving relevant affairs and therefore should be seen as key in any working environment.

In my former position as a Committee Affair Officer, I had the privilege of serving as a vital link between various committees and the Roosevelt's All Student Association, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among different student groups.

One of my key responsibilities was to facilitate seamless communication channels between committees, ensuring that information flowed smoothly and efficiently. I acted as a liaison, relaying important updates, announcements, and initiatives between the committees and the larger student association. This role required exceptional organizational skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to ensure that all stakeholders were well-informed and involved in decision-making processes.

In addition to my communication facilitation role, I represented the student body at official gatherings and events. Whether it was attending meetings with faculty and staff or participating in university-wide assemblies, I served as a voice for the students, advocating for their needs, concerns, and aspirations. 

One of the highlights of my position was hosting various events that fostered a sense of community and engagement among students. For instance, I organized and coordinated the introduction week for new students, ensuring they felt welcomed and supported as they embarked on their academic journey. 

These experiences not only sharpened my communication and organizational skills but also allowed me to develop strong leadership qualities. Moreover, I learned to navigate complex situations, resolve conflicts, foster a sense of unity and inclusivity within the student community, and balance the needs and interests of various stakeholders.

Building upon these experiences, I am eager to continue working in roles that allow me to bridge communication gaps, represent the voices of others, and create meaningful experiences for individuals and communities.

My interdisciplinary bachelor with majors in politics, human geography and psychology has equipped me with a unique perspective that can offer valuable insights and a comprehensive understanding of complex issues. 

Moreover, my master program in Crisis Management has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of theoretical insights, stakeholder interests, risk analysis, decision-making under pressure, crisis communication, and post-crisis governance, which are relevant to analyze complex crisis situations.
