Freshfields Amsterdam: groot en klein tegelijk
Wereldwijd werken circa 2.500 juristen bij 27 vestigingen in 16 landen. In Amsterdam zijn we met ruim 80 advocaten, fiscalisten en (kandidaat-)notarissen een internationaal en overzichtelijk kantoor. We willen niet de grootste zijn, maar wel tot de allerbeste behoren.
De praktijkgroepen richten zich op de advies-, transactie- en procespraktijk ten behoeve van ondernemingen, financiële instellingen en investeerders, met een duidelijke focus op complexe en uitdagende zaken.
'Excellent, and not too serious'
Op het gebied van vakkennis en professionaliteit stellen we hoge eisen aan onze medewerkers. Dat moet ook wel, want cliënten schakelen ons kantoor in voor juridische dienstverlening op het allerhoogste niveau. We verwachten dat je tijdens je studie een solide juridische basis hebt opgebouwd. Vervolgens is het je persoonlijkheid waarmee je het verschil maakt. Je stelt hoge eisen aan jezelf, maar ook aan anderen. Je bent flexibel, stressbestendig en hebt een dienstverlenende instelling. Je staat stevig in je schoenen en beschikt over een gezonde dosis creativiteit. Bijna net zo essentieel als vakkennis en professionaliteit vinden we 'sense of humour' en relativeringsvermogen, want we hechten veel waarde aan een plezierige en informele werksfeer. Ons favoriete selectiecriterium is dan ook: 'excellent, and not too serious'.
Opleiding en begeleiding
Binnen onze organisatie zul je ervaren dat je carrière in het teken staat van ambitie en ontwikkeling. We hebben veel aandacht voor je ontplooiing. Juridisch inhoudelijk en ook als het gaat om vaardigheden. Startende advocaten, fiscalisten en kandidaat-notarissen volgen de beroepsopleiding. Ben je advocaat-stagiaire of fiscalist, dan volg je tevens de Law Firm School (LFS). Daarnaast heeft Freshfields een intern opleidingsprogramma dat gedeeltelijk internationaal is opgezet. Het meest leer je bij ons door 'training on the job'. Ook bestaat voor iedere Associate de mogelijkheid om voor korte of langere termijn ervaring op te doen bij onze buitenlandse vestigingen.
