    On behalf of our trusted partner Universal Electronics we are looking for a Project Manager with experience in Consumer Electronic products that will join the team based in Enschede. At UEI you will be part of a team that is working to innovate wireless control. Whether it's via chips, software licenses or turnkey products.

    APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN THE NETHERLANDS AND IN THE AREA OF ENSCHEDE

    The Project Manager will be focusing on projects in our fast growing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and Home Automation channels, covering connected thermostats, sensors, and supporting devices in Europe where the focus is software development and integration of that in product, app, cloud so it operates as a working system. The Project Manager must understand and translate the (customer) requirements/ expectations into a project plan that the development team uses to develop and produce the required product. The Project Manager is accountable for planning, budget and cost control, as well as providing good quality of deliverable during the project development (KPI's). The Project Manager works in a (global) cross-functional team. They must use excellent communication skills to address the diverse interests of internal and external stakeholders. The position also requires occasional travel and a "do whatever it takes" mindset.

    Job Offer

    APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN THE NETHERLANDS AND IN THE AREA OF ENSCHEDE

    • 12 Month contract starting [to be determined]. The first month of probation.
    • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
    • Gross monthly salary of €6.558,64 (per month) / € annual) based on a 40-hour working week.
    • 8% holiday pay.
    • A performance bonus - this bonus is based on achievement of the EPS UEI and individual targets.
    • 25 vacation days, calculated over a full calendar year.
    • In addition to the legal days off Good Friday and May 5 as extra days off.
    • Participation in a collective pension scheme (Zwitserleven), based on an available premium system. Employer's contribution is 50% of the monthly premium.
    • The employer bears the costs for the so-called risk cover (WIA, incapacity for work, etc.). The employee contributes 1.4% of the pension base as a contribution.
    • Net travel allowance of € 0.23 per KM for commuting.
    • Spending three days working at the office is the expectation, but if you can manage more, that would be preferable.
    • Participation possible in cycling plan and fitness.

    Functie-eisen

    APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN THE NETHERLANDS AND IN THE AREA OF ENSCHEDE

    * Experience (ideally Sr.) as an Project Manager with running complex projects for over 4-6 years. On projects that focus on integration of products in a system (so not IT application projects) with focus on managing the software side and therewith has good understanding on typical User Interfaces (as on display products with menu's), as well as how the system works with an (existing) app
    * Experience with and able to work independently from start to finish/delivery and with international project development teams around the globe
    * Product experience is required and able to get clear requirements as input to make a full project plan individually
    * CE Business experience and/or Product experience
    * STRONG preference for experience with HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and Home Automation channels, covering connected thermostats, sensors, and supporting devices
    * Experience with products that are in a system e.g. Cloud or customer Apps
    * Experience with connecting client software with company software
    * Affinity/feeling with electronic/electrical products (e.g. thermostat)
    * Able to understand software adjustments and translate this to Agile project plan and the business
    * Software is located in India (Bangalore), Engineering in the US and EMEA, some support in the Netherlands - Factories are located in China and Vietnam
    * Experience as an IT Project Manager leading project team where the heavy lifting is software development and where this has to operate in existing or new system with User Interface, app and SW on the product itself.
    * Experience within the Agile environment with software product knowledge. Worked on above type of projects in an Agile environment and is able to support UEI in Agile transition on those type or projects
    * Knowledge or affinity with Cloud and App products
    * PMP certified ( and or prince2, agile etc.)
    * Experience in an international work environment
    * Strong language skills in English
    * 40h per week, hybrid way of working -3 days on site, 2 days remote
    * UE is good reach able by car and or public transportation
    * Education: Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or similar; MBA is a plus
    * Fluent in English, Dutch is nice to have
