Nancy Sihmar

Hey I’m Nancy Sihmar - a multi-disciplinary Product Designer. My designs deliver efficient, emotive and comprehensive experiences that are smooth as butter. I have worked across disciplines, drawing inspiration from the context of the project and often exploring the edges of all things design like UX, UI, Interaction, Spatial & Service Design. 
I love to get under my users' skin to identify their real needs and create holistic solutions inline with business objectives. My approach is based on research, iteration and collaboration.
I was a UX Designer & Front-end Developer at SAP Labs for over 4 years, creating experiences for mobile and web surfaces. And recently completed a Master’s in Human Computer Interaction Design.

UX Strategist, Freelance / Sep ‘21- Nov’21

• Garnered a user sign-up rate of 54% for a mobile-app experience of a data-privacy based tech startup. Kicked-off UX Research & Design efforts by laying down a UX Strategy for 5M+ potential users.
• Conducted discovery workshops with clients, user research,testing and synthesis in a close team of 4. Sole responsibility for creating prototypes of the sign-up flow and validation experiments.

UX Designer for SAP Lumira Discovery / Feb ‘19- Jun ‘20

• Improved data filtration, data visualisation and insightgeneration experience for 200k+ users. Used SAP Fiori design system to design new features and improve existing ones. UX Design contact point for dev team of 25+ members.
• Sole UX Designer for an internal tool that achieves 30% faster resolution of customer incidents, optimises workflow of 70+ employees across 5+ support & dev teams, saves ~ € 500k in business costs.
• Spearheaded user research with multiple stakeholders, built decision-maps, prototypes, established a design library of reusable interactions & components, and supported dev throughout implementation.

UX Designer for SAP Analytics Cloud / Aug ‘18- Jan ‘19

• Approx. 60M+ user accounts of 5000+ mid-to-large sized enterprises are enabled to securely share and consume databased on a user rights model while strictly adhering to enterprise security regulations.
• Co-designed and shipped the new greenfield feature for Expert user segment of B2B SaaS application: SAP Analytics Cloud, Sole responsibility for prototyping, information architecture, design hand-over to dev and final implementation sign-off.
• Practised lean design in a 2 week agile release cycle. Closely worked with 1 PM and senior dev members.
