Azeb Gidey Kahsay

On July 7, 2022, I received my MSc. diploma from the faculty of Geo-information and earth observation of the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands. While participating in my MSc program, since I had a keen interest in GIS and remote sensing, I opted related course.

In my work experience, I had a chance to participate in training from ESRI, Nanjing University of information science and Technology (China), and National Geospatial-Intelligence College (USA). The projects I was participating in also gave me a chance to work with international companies.
I have worked as a technical project manager and team leader for almost three years in addition to my technical job, which has put me in contact with governmental and non-governmental clients for project proposals and reporting.

I see myself as someone who values challenges, works hard, and cherishes life. I have no qualms about imparting my knowledge to my employees and am enthusiastic about doing so.

I have learned and accomplished a great deal in my eight years of GIS and remote sensing data collection, processing, production, and management. In this capacity, I was responsible for the necessary base map production, 2D & 3D feature extraction, photogrammetric process; field data collection, GNSS data processing, Aerial triangulation, DTM editing, Orthophoto generation, and mosaicking of airborne & space-borne data including documentation. I worked on various GIS/Remote sensing-based projects that were regional or national based.

I revived my MSc in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation with a specialization in
Geoinformatics from the University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands.
