About the job:

Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO's Digital Endeavour. You will join The Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) Centre which is responsible for the full life cycle of its services. The JISR Centre's Vision is to assure information superiority for NATO. Its Mission is to deliver, support and protect valued Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, expertise and services and to maximise operational effectiveness for NATO through a wide range of coherent JISR services, supported by well-trained, highly knowledgeable and uniquely experienced staff, in four key JISR domains: Intelligence Applications, Operational ISR Support, Electronic Warfare/Surveillance Services and Geospatial/Meteorological/Oceanographic Information Services.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Service Delivery Manager who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

Responsible for exercise planning and execution for all services of the JISR portfolio;
Translates the high-level exercise requirements into technical implementation tasks;
Participation in all stages of the exercise planning process and provision of specialized expertise;
Understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates and recommends options;
Ensures that service delivery meets agreed service levels;
Negotiates service level requirements and agreed service levels with customers;
Diagnoses service delivery problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service;
Ensures that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures;
Engages with delivery teams to ensure correct products are produced in a timely fashion.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
Service Delivery Manager, IT Service Manager, or similar role;
In-depth knowledge of IT service management best practices;
Proficiency in incident and problem management methodologies;
Experience in service level management and continuous service improvement;
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks;
Experience in managing vendor relationships;
Experience managing/leading small team, preferably in international environment;
Documented, extensive, and recent experience (at least 3 years) in:

ü Team leadership in major C4ISR environment;

ü Demonstrable experience in State-of-the-art technologies relevant to the work, including information processing, exchange of information and related commercial/industrial standards;

ü Experience with application software interoperability implementation, validation, verification, and accreditation;

ü Sound knowledge and expertise in IT system engineering and integration (e.g. virtualization, containerization, modern OS);

ü Use of architecture frameworks and supporting tools;

ü Understanding of Project Management principles and techniques;

ü Experience of Systems support and maintenance in the NATO or similar defence or civilian environment;

ü The ability to communicate effectively in written English to produce technical documents such as technical notes, reports, and reference documents;

ü Formal ITIL foundation certification.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
