    As Assistant Controller, you will join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service where we believe that anything is possible, whilst having fun in all that we do The Assistant Controller will be responsible for tasks relating to the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records.

    Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:

    • Ensures financial transactions are properly recorded and accurately entered into the accounting systems
    • Ensures compliance with government and corporate policies laws and regulations
    • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and hotel procedures
    • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
    • Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and cost centres.
    • Analyses transactions, processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
    • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
    • Responsible for the payroll preparation
    • Maintains the fixed asset register and reviews the depreciation
    • Assists with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
    • Reports, analyses and ensures integrity of all financial information.
    • Supports the smooth running of the accounting department, exerting diligent financial process control and ensuring efficiency and resilience to growth
    • Works as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to enquiries
    • Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
    • Builds and maintains effective working relationships whilst promoting the company culture and values.
    • Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required

    Requirements of the Financial Accountant:

    Experience in a hotel and the financial field is required to obtain the role of Financial Accountant role.

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance is particularly advantageous
    • Proficiency in any hotel operating and accounting system
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office and IT systems on various platforms
    • Must be a candidate of unquestionable integrity
    • Should also be dynamic and a team player
    • Excellent analytical and data processing skills
    • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal in English and preferably Dutch
    • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
    • Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
    • Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
    • Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
    • Ability to travel between our three different hotels in Amsterdam: Radisson Blu Amsterdam City Center, Park inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West and Radisson Blu Hotel Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the three hotels.
