What you'll do & Who you are

Adevinta HQ International oversees the closing and control activities for Holding Entities within the Adevinta group.

We are dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data through meticulous review, audit, reconciliation, and process management.

As a Financial Controller within our HQ International Controlling Team (3 people), you will play a crucial role in managing a broad spectrum of Financial Controlling activities for Adevinta HQ International Entities (various holding companies that Adevinta has in NL, UK, Norway and some other countries).

Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, including local teams (FP&A, legal, HR) as well as the Central Functions in Barcelona and Shared Services in Romania and India, you will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.

You will report directly to the Senior Manager Financial Central Controlling. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in the office) and the office is based in Amsterdam.

What you'll do
Lead the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings, leveraging Onestream and SAP S4HANA Reporting systems.
Oversee the controlling and accounting functions of Holding companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct trial balance reviews and flux analysis to identify and address discrepancies.
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPOs) to identify and implement process improvements.
Coordinate local statutory reporting and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Liaise and report to local authorities on required reporting and submissions.
Payroll experience is considered as a plus.

Who you are- You have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting.- Knowledge of IFRS- Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling role, preferably in an international global environment.- Strong analytical (excel) skills and an affinity with numbers.- Strong interpersonal skills- Able to work & prioritize independently in an international matrix organization.

- Extended experience in working with accounting software (SAP S4 HANA preferred)- Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
