    Why you

    As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be vital in our customer success journey. You will love to work with accuracy and efficiency and manage the distribution and logistics process to ensure our customers are getting their deliveries right the first time. This role supports domestic and international shipments. You have significant experience and expertise regarding Planning and Logistics operations. You will have the ability to interface well with internal and external customers and work effectively cross-departmentally with cross-functional colleagues.

    You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Planning and Logistics operations
    • Process owner and develop procedures to maintain compliance and/or improve quality
    • Work with freight forwarders and small parcel network providers to improve performance
    • Owning the daily responsibilities and supporting the day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the shipment from the supplier until delivery to the customer throughout our internal distribution process
    • Participant in regional Supply Chain projects related to logistics. Capable of owning local (smaller) logistics projects and initiatives
    • Acquire and maintain understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina's products, parts, and services
    • Assist in the training of Illumina's personnel as required
    • Manage centralized shared mailbox for the Planning and Logistics team which is used by internal stakeholders and our (external) vendors/carriers.
    • Other ad hoc request pertaining to the scope of Warehouse and Logistics with the focus on Planning & Logistics
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all quality regulations

    Preferred skills and experience include:

    • Interprets laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
    • Understanding of basic inventory management concepts
    • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Having experience with Continuous Improvement is a pre
    • Familiar with GMP's, product specifications incoming inspection procedures
    • Experience independently solving problems and working effectively in a team environment.
    • Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus (Italian, Spanish, German, French, Dutch)

    Education:

    • MBO+ degree required or 5 year experience in similar roles.
