    Are you skilled in operations, logistics, or supply chain management? Do you have a sharp analytical mind and a strong motivation? Join our team as Continuous Improvement & Operations Manager, connecting strategy and operations. Lead a dynamic Fulfilment Center (FC) team, enhance supply chain operations, and ensure a seamless daily workflow. You will be located at one of our Fulfilment Centers (FCs) in the Netherlands.

    Our FCs are the core of our operations, where our employees select groceries for numerous customers seven days a week. A single FC accommodates about 700 individuals working in various shifts from early morning to late evening. Groceries collected at the FC are dispatched to our Hubs and then delivered to customers using our electric vehicles.

    Your Role

    Put your analytical abilities and inspirational leadership into action to elevate our innovative supply chain. Examine our current processes, propose actionable plans, and motivate your team to collaborate. Your responsibilities are two-fold: supervise an FC team and daily operations, and devise and implement strategies to enhance our supply chain operations. Expect a dynamic role that keeps you away from a mundane desk routine.

    Take charge of the operational process for approximately two days a week. During these days, lead a team of around 100 Shoppers and their team leads to ensure timely and complete dispatch of groceries. Supervisor shifts are available both in the day (06:30 - 16:00) and evening (14:00 - 22:00), including weekends.

    Utilize your operational expertise on remaining days to execute diverse projects optimizing and scaling our operations for sustainable growth. Analyze FC workflows for efficiency enhancements and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Pilot projects within your FC before rolling them out across other FCs.

    At Picnic, we pride ourselves on operational innovation. Collaborate with Data Analysts and Software Developers to overcome challenges and enhance Picnic's Warehouse Management System.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily operations at your FC for about 2 days a week
    • Lead a team within the FC
    • Manage projects with freedom to experiment
    • Formulate, monitor, and improve operational metrics
    • Implement projects to enhance process flow and Warehouse Management System
    • Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize the supply chain
    • Operate primarily from one FC base but open to travel as needed

    Requirements

    • Master's degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain
    • 3-10 years of full-time work experience
    • Experience in leadership roles preferred
    • Proactive attitude, ready for early mornings
    • Ability to identify and address issues efficiently
    • Quick learning capabilities and numerical proficiency
    • Pragmatic approach to project implementation
    • Hands-on mentality for process understanding
    • Effective leadership and motivation skills
    • Proficiency in English and preferably Dutch
