Your job

This role is for a Data Risk Manager Corporate Banking in the 1st Line of Defense, primarily responsible for efficiently managing our Data Risk (one of the most important risk types within the bank) and executing the (Data) Risk Management & Control Framework within Corporate Banking (CB). You will act as a liaison between the CB business, Data Domain Owners, Grid Owners, Central Data Office, the other P&C units and 2nd & 3rd line stakeholders, providing input for the CB Business Risk Committee and Group Risk Committee. Your key responsibilities will include representing the business in global regulatory Non-Financial Risk (NFR) projects, navigating a complex international landscape, and engaging with diverse senior stakeholders across the bank.

Data is one the banks most important assets and our customers expect that we manage their data very well. ABN AMRO want to become a data driven bank which means we can rely on our data to make decisions. To further improve a new Federated Data Governance is being implemented. This means data will be managed and shared within the bank through 15 Data Domains. These are led by Data Domain Owners who are accountable for all data in that domain over all entities/branches and subsidiaries of the bank, including Asset Based Finance, ABN AMRO Clearing Bank, International Card Services and ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep. Within Corporate Banking three data domains are implemented. These are the data domains for Credits, Clearing and Markets.

• Data of CB customers will also be managed in data domains outside CB, for instance Creditcards, Investments, Customer & Party and Financial Economic Crime. This means CB must rely on those domains to take good care of the data of our customers and their products. As Risk Specialist you will be monitoring and overseeing this.
• You will have a lot of contact with the colleagues in the Central Data Office (CDO), Data Domains in CB, the P&C units (who monitor their domains) Finance, Risk, I&T, Legal/Compliance and HR.
• You will support the CDO in the implementation of a Data Risk Control Framework, report on Data Risk (in reports like SRA, NFR Risk Report and SIRA) and you will advise the CB MT if we are sufficiently in control and complying with legislation and policies with regards to Data.
• Within P&C other colleagues are involved in topics on Privacy (e.g., GDPR, Consent) and Information Risk (e.g. Data leakage) and since these topics relate to each other you will collaborate intensively and as a result support and replace each other when required.

Environment

As Data Risk Manager Corporate Banking you are part of Risk Oversight and Control & Regulations, within Processes & Control. We oversee all first line Non-Financial risks & control activities, ensuring the integrity of Corporate Banking's risk taxonomy and supporting flawless business operations. The department consists of approximately 35 risk professionals. Being sustainably in control is what drives us and we support CB to achieve its objectives. We have a very diverse team and next to working hard also have a lot of fun. We frequently organize knowledge share sessions to grown but also unwind together with drinks

Your profile

• You have experience with laws and regulations.
• You are curious (about data) eager to learn and motivated.
• You have good analytical and social skills and know how to navigate a complex stakeholder field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, confidently liaising with Senior Management.
• Proactive self-starter, able to handle a diverse workload.
• Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
• Strong organizational sensitivity, understanding and adapting to organizational dynamics.
• Familiar with Data Governance, IT systems and Financial and Risk Reporting
• Fluent in English.

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
