We're looking for a Technical Assistant Mechanical to join our Innovation labs team at Signify Research in Eindhoven.

As a Technical Assistant Mechanical, you'll be responsible for delivering rapid mechanical prototyping services to a diverse set of clients in Signify Innovation and Businesses.

What you'll do

Make parts and build prototypes in close cooperation with Research and Development engineers.
Engage with the Research and Development engineers to help make the parts and tooling for the new products and developments
Perform hands-on work with mechanical tools and equipment to enable rapid prototyping of models, mock-ups, tooling, etc
Perform as a team player and support the team in applying a lean way of working to increase the agility and efficiency of the team
Work with external suppliers in case we need capabilities or capacity that we do not have in-house

Your qualifications

MTS Degree (Precision)Mechanics or equivalent, relevant work experience is a plus
Hands-on experience in Mechanical domain (Milling, Turning, Drilling, Welding, Cutting, etc.)
Team player with organizational and social skills;
Experience with CAD mechanical software packages (e.g. Autocad Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge)
Aspiration and potential to lead the mechanical workspace in the nearby future
Experience with material ordering and machine maintenance plans a plus
