    Job Description

    As Procurement Project Manager at Philips you are responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing risk within the supply chain, and innovating procurement strategies to leverage technological advancements, sustainability, and global market dynamics. This role demands a deep understanding of the global personal health consumer electronics industry, including the complexities of logistics, regulations, and the ethical sourcing of materials.

    You are responsible for

    • Strategic Impact: Initiates and implements procurement projects and transformations aligned with category and business strategies, ensuring optimized end-to-end total cost of ownership (TCO) for product solutions.
    • Supplier Engagement: Represents procurement in product development, leads supplier selection, and drives supplier improvement projects to mitigate risks and address manufacturability issues.
    • Negotiation Support: Provides conceptual and fact-based insights to aid negotiation teams in achieving structural cost reductions.
    • Expertise and Leadership: Serves as an engineering expert and thought leader in cost reduction, quality improvement, and sustainability, influencing design choices and value chain functions in procurement.

    You are a part of

    The Grooming & Beauty Business Procurement team is based in The Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil, and Hong Kong with a global supply base. As a young and energetic team, we have continuous opportunities to drive early and deep procurement involvement on new platform designs and product enhancements, while focusing on the End2End approach during the supplier selection process and product lifecycle management activities. In this role you will report to the Procurement Business Partner based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
    • 7+ years' experience in strategic procurement roles, managing supplier relationships, leading suppliers in new product development, and leading supplier improvement projects
    • Strong data analysis skills (PowerBI/QlikSense)
    • Expertise in Value Engineering, Design for eXcellence, LEAN, Statistical process control and/or Six Sigma
    • Project Management experience with the ability to think strategically in a global environment
    • Strong organization, change management, and communication skills are required

    And also nice to have:

    • Experience with Agile development and Open Innovation business models
    • Skilled in scripting languages like Python
