Laat jij leerlingen in de huid kruipen van een Rode Kruis hulpverlener via dit educatieve spel?
De jongeren gaan in dit spel moeilijke beslissingen nemen waar hulpverleners in hun werk mee te maken krijgen. Welke hulpgoederen zouden ze inzetten tijdens een ernstige ramp? Zorg je eerst voor medische hulp of toch voor schoon drinkwater? In de Humanity Game ervaren de leerlingen van het vo en mbo dat het bieden van noodhulp niet eenvoudig is.
Het district Gooi & Utrecht is op zoek naar enthousiaste vrijwilligers:
Gastdocent/Spelleider Humanity Game (Vrijwillig)
Voor +/- 10 keer per jaar, met ca. 4 keer per jaar een andere activiteit.
Wat ga je doen?
Als spelleider speel je dit educatieve spel samen met de leerlingen en moedig je hen aan om goed na te denken en de juiste keuzes te maken. Je verdeelt de klas in drie noodhulpteams. Als team moeten ze bepalen welke hulp bij vier verschillende rampen het meest dringend is. Het spel bestaat uit vier rondes met rampen als de tyfoon op de Filipijnen tot het gewapende conflict in Syrië. Per ronde krijgen ze een video te zien met uitleg over de ramp en de nood die er is ontstaan. Ze zetten vervolgens de benodigde hulpmiddelen uit hun basisvoorraad in en krijgen tot slot een video te zien met de juiste oplossing en de uitleg hierbij. Je laat de studenten goed nadenken over de gevolgen van natuurrampen en gewelddadige conflicten en stimuleert hen om oplossingsgericht te denken.

Naast een vrijwilligersovereenkomst geeft het Rode Kruis je verder ook de mogelijkheid om jezelf te ontplooien, om relevante werkervaring op te doen en kun je trainingen volgen. Je komt een paar keer per jaar samen met collega educatievrijwilligers van het district Utrecht om ervaringen te delen, van elkaar te leren en om op de hoogte gehouden te worden van de ontwikkelingen binnen het Rode Kruis. Tijdens je vrijwilligerswerk voor het Rode Kruis ben je verzekerd en reis- en onkosten worden vergoed.
