    Job description

    What will you do?
    • Lead the Finance & Accounting team (total 4 people) to coordinate and to manage the structure of the accounting flows
    • Report to the General Manager Finance
    • Manage the finance & accounting assistants in their daily work
    • Evaluate and review the processes of the team
    • Develop processes and guidelines
    • Initiate plans to make the processes efficient, accurate and compliant
    • Assist the GM with the (internal) audits procedures and processes
    • Plan and conduct internal audits in accordance with the company's audit plan
    • Make and align with the audit plans; internally and externally (e.g. Headquarter is based in Asia and external auditors)
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance with laws and regulations
    • Support month closing procedure and reporting cycle.
    • Conduct interviews with employees and review documentation to gather information and evidence - Identify control deficiencies and make recommendations to improve controls and mitigate risks
    • Prepare clear and concise audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations to management
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and accounting standards that may impact the company's internal controls and financial reporting

    Requirements

    Who are you?
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (such as CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred
    • At least 3 years experience in accounting with internal audit or external audits is a must
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of Japanese is preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage audits from planning to reporting
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software
    • Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and principles
    • Willingness to travel as required
    Remarks:
    • Candidates must hold a valid working permit for the Netherlands. Our client does not offer sponsorship.
    • You must live in the region of Almere (our client will move to Lelystad towards end of 2024)

    Working conditions

    This is a long term position and the contract will be directly with our clientThe start date is ASAP, however is negotiableThe salary is between EUR EUR 6000 per month gross, based on full time (40 hours per week), excluding holiday money 8%This is a full time position (40 hours per week) - 4,5 days is negotiableHybrid is possible, however the first period (3-6 months) must be onsite25 holidaysBonus scheme (0-10% based on company performance) Travel costs (EUR 0.23 per km) Pension (50% contribution)
