    The Role

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Perform system administration in an enterprise environment consisting primarily of Windows servers
    • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an automated infrastructure, fostering speed, accuracy, and repeatability of deployments and configurations. Use automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins or third-party tools for task automation.
    • Perform software installations and upgrades on a variety of systems.
    • Contribute to the evaluation of application and infrastructure cloud readiness.
    • Oversee and apply appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
    • Decommissioning, OS upgrades, and/or migration of legacy servers
    • Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in on-call rotation duties.

    Ideal Profile

    Essential Skills:

    • 5+ years of Windows Administrator experience
    • Experience with migrating and/or extending on-premises software to the cloud.
    • Experience with VMware ESXi
    • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills.
    • The position requires the ability to be flexible and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to write Python and PowerShell scripts for automation of repetitive tasks.
    • Must have a firm understanding of network concepts including, VLANs, ports, protocols, security contexts, etc.
    • Perform and analyse disaster simulations for the prompt restoration of services and conduct audits where required.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes.
    • Address security concerns reported by the security office or various AV tools.

    Preferred Skills

    • Microsoft Certification is preferred.
    • VMware ESXi 7.x administration
    • Networking administration
    • Nextgen firewall administration
    • Dell/EMC VNX administration
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
