    THE ROLE

    The Individual Donor Relations officer is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with prospects and existing individual donors by establishing personal contact.

    The Individual Donor Relations officer will manage, develop, and grow income from the existing portfolio of individual donors (including legacy pledgers) and prospects. The focus of the position is to grow the individual donor portfolio, increasing the size of gifts and meeting annual income targets of the Money team. This position requires onsite presence in our office in Amsterdam.

    YOUR TASKS

    Relationship management

  • Builds and maintains relationships with prospects and existing individual donors;
  • Manages, develops, and grows income from the existing portfolio donors and prospects;
  • Manages, develops and maintains the pipeline of legacy pledgers;
  • Develops individual donor strategies to secure, renew and upgrade gifts;
  • Uses a moves management system to track each step of the donor journey; identification, qualification, cultivation, briefing, ask, stewardship and recognition;
  • Contributes to the annual plan and goals of the Individual Donor Relations team.

  • Commitment to Mama Cash's vision, mission and values including intersectional feminism, social and environmental justice, and the rights of intersex people, trans people, girls and women.
  • Education at university level degree or equivalent experience of working in fundraising and/or experience of working in relationship management/customer-service.
  • 3 years of fundraising/relationship management experience and demonstrated success in growing and securing income from individual donors and managing an individual donor portfolio;
  • Lived experience of resisting injustice and different forms of systemic oppression including but not limited to sexism, racism, homo-antagonism, trans-antagonism, classism and/or disablism, and their intersections.
  • Knowledge of human rights, social justice, environmental justice, international development and/or (funding) feminist movements.
  • Knowledge of CRM database systems, ideally Raiser's Edge.
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Understanding of GDPR and how to record supporter communication preferences.
  • Communications and interpersonal skills ( verbal and written English proficiency and a desirable verbal and written Dutch proficiency ), with the ability to interact with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to work with KPIs and meet fundraising targets.
  • Ability to work cross-organisationally.
  • Relationship-building skills; ability to present and represent Mama Cash in a convincing manner.
  • Detail-orientation and organisational skills as well as an ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and largely remote environment.
  • Time management skills, the ability to prioritise and work independently, multi-task and be flexible across a varied workload.
  • Willingness to work on a regular basis in our office in Amsterdam.

    • OUR OFFER

    We offer you a full-time (36 hours) position in an engaging and professional work environment in an international foundation committed to diversity, solidarity, peace and justice. The monthly salary for this position depends upon experience and is based on CAO Welzijn scale 9, full-time salary (min.) € 3.015,- (max.)-> € 4.445, plus 8% vacation, 13th month, and pension plan. This role is based in our centrally located office in Amsterdam.
