    Introduction

    Come join our international programme management team at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) as our programme manager for the MSc programmes. This is your opportunity to support quality education with a mission and to help create a great student experience

    Job description

    In this role, you are our temporary replacement for the programme manager MSc programmes for a period of six to seven months, starting 1 July 2024. We can discuss the exact start date.

    This temporary vacancy is for 0.8 FTE and were happy that you can work on campus at least two days per week. On the other days, you can work from home if you like. We provide you with a notebook computer and accessories.

    As the programme manager MSc programmes, you manage a portfolio of one-year master of science programmes in technology and operations management. Additionally, you contribute to the enjoyable study experience of our MSc students, and you participate in a friendly and collaborative team. A member of the RSM Education Services department, youre situated on the fifth floor of Mandeville building on Erasmus Universitys Woudestein campus.

    In this role you:

  • Ensure that students register on time and in the correct programmes, courses and exams
  • Act as the main point of contact for students for logistical and organisational issues
  • Liaise with the academic departments to provide an optimal support structure for the respective programmes
  • Implement elements of the quality control cycle, such as course evaluations
  • Liaise with departmental colleagues on relevant issues e.g., scheduling staff, examination board, international office, admissions team and career centre
  • Organise programme-related events such as introductory activities for new students
  • Create regular reports
  • Actively suggest and implement process improvements and contribute to updating our existing process documentation
  • Lead or contribute to education-related special projects
  • Contribute to marketing and recruitment activities
  • Help to create an enjoyable study experience for master students

    • Job requirements

    Your qualifications include:

  • Minimum Dutch HBO or equivalent completed study
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (minimum CEFR level C1: listen, speak, read, write) and advanced knowledge of Dutch (minimum CEFR level B1: read, listen)
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with the MS Office suite, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and, ideally, Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience, ideally, in academic programme management and/or project management

    Working conditions

    Employment is initially for a fixed period of time: six months. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). The feature is rated on a maximum scale of 10. Your salary is partly based on your education and experience, which means that a starting scale (scale 8) may apply. Your salary can therefore vary from 3,072.00 to 5,090.00 gross per month for full-time employment.

    EUR also offers all employees an annual personal career budget with which you can further develop your skills and competences. There are also many training, development and coaching opportunities within EUR.

    Department

    The department is headed by three cluster managers and consists of several teams, such as programme management, schedulers, recruitment and admissions, study advice, business intelligence, international office, examination board support, and a career centre.

    Together with your MSc programme management team members, you support the educational processes of around 3,000 international and Dutch students in 15 master of science programmes. As part of an international, diverse team, you have around nine direct colleagues. You also have frequent online and face-to-face contact with students, teaching faculty, neighbouring teams and, occasionally, external parties.

    You are available to work in the evenings and on weekends, and you can travel occasionally to go to events such as open days or graduations.
