    SAP HCM Consultant (Time & Payroll) - Amsterdam Netherlands

    This is a Amsterdam based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

    The Senior People Application Specialist configures People Systems supporting a number of different modules for complex changes and projects. The Senior People Application Specialist researches, designs, documents, maintains and implements new functionalities in People Systems like SAP, Workday and focusing on user experience, and best practices. Responsible for managing critical People Systems projects in the team to implement scalable and secure configurations in SAP. Along with resolving incidents raised by the Business owners.

    Proactively monitors new features released by SAP and identifies and promotes changes to improve System design and user experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Incident Management:
      • Solve critical incidents, prioritize by customer impact.
      • Manage outages, communicate with relevant teams and COEs.
    • Mentorship:
      • Coach and mentor Junior Systems and Application Specialists.
      • Support Junior Specialists with critical escalations.
    • Application Support:
      • Provide support for People Systems applications.
    • Project Management:
      • Manage projects, plan, estimate, and ensure global project delivery.
      • Collaborate with Tech Solutions, Application, and Technical Teams.
      • Handle project escalations, inform managers about impacts, risks, and options.
    • Configuration and Compliance:
      • Configure SAP for business needs in a scalable, secure way.
      • Prepare compliance and SOx documentation for changes.
      • Manage application security breaches, prepare RCA.
    • Knowledge Sharing and Communication:
      • Share knowledge with team and business.
      • Communicate delivery timelines, risks, and impacts to stakeholders.
    • Testing and Reporting:
      • Perform unit testing, support user testing.
      • Build custom reports for functional projects and processes.
    • Integration and Configuration:
      • Align with Technical Team on integration before changes.
      • Provide solutions, assess risks, ensure SOx compliance.
    • Team Processes and Standards:
      • Follow and model team working agreements.
      • Help set guidelines, standards, and processes.
    • Workday Releases:
      • Support new feature rollouts, check impact, identify enhancements.
      • Perform regression testing for automatically rolled out features.

    Requirements of special knowledge/skills At least 5 years of experience in the People System ecosystem, focused on SAP Mentoring and Coaching Skills Project Management and Escalation management Application Skills Workday Scope: Knowledge of various SAP Modules. HCM, Business Processes, Security, Compensation, Performance, Talent, Absence, Time tracking, Benefits, System Health etc. SAP HR scope: Knowledge of SAP HR Personnel Administration, Time Management, Security, Payroll Zendesk scope: Knowledge of Zendesk (To be added) Greenhouse scope: Knowledge of Greenhouse.
