    Located in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam, Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American is a UNESCO Heritage site with a rich history dating back to 1875.     Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator

    Responsibilities and duties:

  • To effectively manage and support the generation, planning and delivery of Meetings, Events, Groups and other hotel commercial activities together with the M&E Supervisor and Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • To ensure high quality of service and delivery, in order to meet and exceed guest expectations, in order to promote the hotel's reputation and build a repeat client base.
  • To conduct showrounds of the hotel with potential clients and entertain clients during familiarisation trips
  • Follow procedures of completing enquiry forms and sending quotations through to contracts for each piece of business within a specified time range
  • To take responsibility for the events from beginning to end and will co-ordinate the team in order to ensure that all aspects of the function are fulfilled.
  • To check that the event spaces are set as per corresponding function sheets and meet and greet client.
  • To support the Director of Sales & Marketing in administrative tasks such as updating websites, preparing reports and competitor board reading.

    • About you

    The ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience in a similar environment or a comparable role. The candidate will need to be flexible, have a hands-on approach, have excellent inter-personal skills, have the ability to meet targets and build rapport. Previous experience with Opera in a Reservations or Groups role is preferred, and high IT proficiency is required.
