Your opportunity

  • You will experience the culture of a technology startup with a social mission and collaborate with team members from +28 countries.
  • You will gain handson experience in User Interface (UI) work in a product development environment.
  • You will collaborate closely with our Senior Designers in order to improve your UI design skills and understand UX techniques and the Design Thinking mindset.
  • You will interact with the whole product team, like UXR, development and product management and you will understand how we evaluate designs and implement our design work based on the product roadmap prioritisation.

Your team


You will work closely with and report to Giulia who is one of our Senior Product designers, bringing with her extensive UI experience and knowledge in both Amsterdam and Italy.

You will join the User Experience (UX) team and will also cooperate with Dan, as the UX team lead. The UX team includes other awesome and experienced professionals, namely Giulia and Mirette.

Your impact

  • You will gain realworld understanding of how UI can support product work from a multidisciplinary design team to the larger product development lifecycle.
  • You will be the UI owner of a key piece of our product offering and improve its design.
  • Your will be involved in user testing and iterate your design work based on the feedback gathered.
  • You will help us structure a design system and identify the basic system components.

Your skills

  • You have a background in Graphic design, UI design and/ or UX design.
  • You are familiar with Figma, User flows and Wireframing.
  • You have a demonstrated interest in User Interface design, Visual design, Prototyping, Usability testing, User experience and/ or Usercentered design.
  • You would like to focus mostly on UI and get some exposure to UX and research by following a usercentric approach.

Extra awesome

  • You have experience working in a product development environment.
  • You have experience with a usercentered approach and techniques.
  • You have worked with advanced Figma functionality (prototyping, buliding component libraries, maintaining design systems).

Requirements:


  • You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
  • You are able to commit to a sixmonth fulltime (40 hour/week) internship.

Compensation, start-date & location

  • This is a paid internship. If you live in Amsterdam or relocate to Amsterdam during your internship, then the monthly reimbursement is will be 1.000 EUR.
  • You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 12 days per week. If you do the internship remotely, then the monthly reimbursement will be 700 EUR. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.

Our selection procedure

  • We will invite you for a short screening call.
  • We will invite you for a 60min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
