Europol retains the right to make use of the reserve list to select candidates for similar posts within the organisation, should business needs require so.
Organisational setting:
The post of Senior Agent - Web Content Management Projects is located in the Corporate Communications Team, Corporate Affairs Bureau.
The principal function of the Corporate Communications Team is to promote awareness of Europol. The Corporate Communications Team consists of two Offices - Media Relations, and Digital Communications & Campaigns, and its activities cover looking after internal and external communication strategies, handling of press and media contacts and public request as well as organising PR events and visits. The Corporate Communications Team is also responsible for open sources research, media analyses and producing publications.
Purpose of the post:
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and delivery and day-to-day management of digital content projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and objectives.
Reporting lines:
The incumbent will report to the Head of Team Corporate Communications.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
The incumbent carries out the following main functions and duties:
• Create, edit and optimise content and media for the Europol website, email campaigns and other digital channels;
• Contribute to planning, coordination, and execution of assigned content projects and related initiatives;
• Publish multilingual web content to the Europol website using the Drupal Web Content Management System;
• Manage content calendars and ensure timely publications of the content;
• Develop and implement quality control measures, both technical and content-related, as well as conduct integrity checks to ensure website reliability;
• Optimize content for SEO to improve search engine rankings;
• Contribute to enhancing the overall strategic direction of the website and online platforms, and support the development of an email marketing program;
• Analyse content performance metrics, report findings to managers and make recommendation for improvement;
• Engage with content projects stakeholders to enhance projects visibility and impact across and beyond the organisation;
• Contribute to the preparation and implementation of digital communication budget and contract with external service providers and suppliers;
• Perform any other duties in the area of competence as assigned by line management.
The functions and duties may also be associated with a project funded by external assigned revenue. In the case of a project funded by external assigned revenue, the duties would be of a limited duration in time.
REQUIREMENTS - ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Requirements - Eligibility criteria
a. Candidates must
• Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union and enjoy full rights as a citizen;
• Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws on military service;
• Produce appropriate character references as to his or her suitability for the performance of the duties;
• Be physically fit to perform the duties pertaining to the position (prior to appointment the successful candidate will be medically examined by one of the institution's medical officers in order that the institution may be satisfied that the candidate fulfils the requirements of Article 12(2)(d) of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Union (CEOS);
• Produce evidence of a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the Union to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
b. Candidates must
• Have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies attested by a diploma when the normal period of university education is 3 years or more.

• Professional training of an equivalent level, and after having completed the training, at least the number of years of relevant professional experience as indicated below:

Requirements - Selection criteria
a. Professional experience
Essential:
• At least 3 years of proven experience in English-language web publication and management through content management systems (CMS) as well as digital content creation (candidates are requested to provide clear and detailed evidence in the application form);
• Experience in project management (coordination of tasks, establishment of timelines, allocation of resources);
• Experience in analysing statistics related to online communication;
• Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams;
• Experience in financial administration related to projects management;
Desirable:
• Experience with Adobe CS suite products, in particular Photoshop and Illustrator;
• Experience with Drupal CMS as publisher and administrator;
b. Professional knowledge
Essential:
• Sound knowledge of digital content production processes, technologies, and best practices;
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices;
• Sound knowledge of project management standards and methodologies;
• Sound knowledge of digital analytics tools;
• Ability to create and optimise content and media, for the Europol website, in English;
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English;
