Day in the Life of the Junior Payroll Controller

• The Junior Payroll Controller is responsible for all finance-related processes within Payroll. Working as part of the EMEA Controlling team, working closely with the international HR teams.
• No day is the same due to a mix of standard work (e.g., Month-end Close activities) and involvement in supporting the changes of the organization (e.g., connected to centralizations, legal entity optimization, and continuous improvements).
• You will be exposed to the full scope of finance-compliance activities and will work closely with your regional Controlling team, finance- and other internal teams as well as with external customers (e.g., auditors).
• You will participate in a dynamic and fast-paced organization where you participate in finance projects next to your standard work.

Responsibilities

• Perform all monthly payroll journals based on HR/payroll provider information.
• Accurately maintain all payroll-related accruals.
• Review, analyze, and correct payroll transactions for all Fluke EMEA cost centers.
• Prepare and present the annual budget cycle for the payroll costs and manage the monthly forecast updates.
• Ensure a timely and correct Month End Close and Reporting cycle, within tight closing schedules.
• Support the AP team with all (timely) payroll payments.
• Perform all monthly account reconciliations for the payroll accounts.
• Support the various internal and external compliance audits (e.g., SOX, IA, ACP).
• Supporting the involvement of the EMEA (Controlling) Finance team in projects that support continuous improvement and current business developments.

Your Team

• The Junior Payroll Controller is a vital member of the EMEA Controlling team (14 FTE) and works together with other Financial Controllers, Junior Controllers, the Operations Controller, and the VAT Controller to realize the Financial Compliance of Fluke EMEA.
• As Junior Payroll Controller you will be partnering with other finance teams, global HR teams, the Fluke US headquarters finance team, and many other departments to realize the objectives of the EMEA Controlling team.
• You will join a high-performing, friendly, and supportive team.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or finance & accounting.
• 3-5 years' experience in related functions in an international environment.
• Payroll experience is a plus (but not essential)
• Knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory/tax regulations and experience with compliance and accounting requirements.
• Ability to (jointly) initiate, drive, and execute change projects across several levels.
• Experience managing priorities.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
