    PwC's Risk and Regulation ("R&R") team provides consulting services to insurance companies and other financial institutions on accounting related matters under IFRS or Dutch GAAP, and related areas such as sustainability reporting, Solvency II and risk and regulatory topics. This creates interesting positions for professionals acting as advisors in the area of complex technical accounting, sustainability, risk and regulatory matters for insurance companies and other financial institutions. We are expanding our diverse practice and looking for experienced accounting professionals.

    What you will be doing

    As a senior consultant, your main focus will be advising clients on various topics, including IFRS (with a particular emphasis on IFRS 17), Dutch GAAP, sustainability reporting, Solvency II, and risk and regulatory matters, as well as the impact of upcoming regulations. It is crucial for this role that you stay updated on recent developments in IFRS, Dutch GAAP, sustainability reporting, and Solvency II.

    Working alongside the team, you will have end-to-end responsibility for projects, starting from the initial client contact to the finalization of project deliverables. Your tasks will include:

    Working with clients to resolve complex accounting and regulatory matters;

    Supporting in the management of a client portfolio, by reporting to (senior) managers and/or partners or directors;

    Support in acquiring new engagements at both new and existing PwC clients and you focus on the development of your own knowledge and experience as well as that of your colleagues.

    Does this describe you?
    You are a passionate technical specialist with a technical background in accounting and/or assurance. You would like to further improve your advisory skills, develop relationships with clients, make impact, get the most out of yourself and your colleagues. Furthermore:

    You hold a university (level) degree in economics/law/business administration/econometrics/mathematics or equivalent;

    You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial institutions, preferably with a focus on insurance;

    You have an affinity for technical and complex issues related to accounting and regulatory matters;

    You would like to continuously deepen your knowledge and are flexible to learn new concepts;

    You work well under pressure and are committed to meet deadlines;

    You are a team player and would like to be part of a team with different (cultural) backgrounds;

    You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
