    Scrum Master: In Silico Drug Design and Structural Biology Products (Discovery Scientific Computing POD)
    Location: Utrecht, NL or near shore

    The Role:
    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join our client's R&D IT&D team, focusing on in silico drug design and structural biology products. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating Agile practices and ensuring the smooth operation of Scrum processes within multidisciplinary teams. You will collaborate closely with product owners, data scientists, and structural biologists to drive the development and integration of cutting-edge digital products that support research initiatives.

    Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Promote and advocate for Agile best practices within the team and organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support the team in identifying and removing impediments that hinder progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, structural biologists, and IT&D professionals, to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
  • Monitor and report on the team's progress, utilizing Agile metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members on Agile principles and practices, encouraging a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance the team's Agile capabilities and knowledge.
  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share best practices and promote a unified Agile approach across the organization.
    • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is required.
  • Minimum of years of experience as a Scrum Master in a research-oriented biotech or pharmaceutical organization.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other project management software.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry with an emphasis on early discovery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts, fostering a positive team environment
  • Experience with cloud platforms (, AWS, Azure) and familiarity with AI/Client tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects within an Agile framework, with a focus on data and analytics products.
    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with early discovery and technology innovation projects.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and their application in digital product development.
    • Certifications or experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or working in scaled agile delivery environments
