Are you the thought leader to implement and API first strategy in DLL to support the continuous digitalization of the way DLL interacts with customers to do business in a better, faster and easier way?

• Create solution designs for complex business scenarios involving multiple application systems in multiple (cloud) environment involving multiple customers.
• Create solution designs for services included in the Global API Catalog based on prioritization of our Global Product owners.
• Motivate, inspire, and facilitate scrum teams of solution architects and developers securing application and API Architecture alignment and proper development of solutions adhering to Reference Architectures.
• Establish a Community of Practice for fellow architects and senior developers to share knowledge on application and API architecture.
• Ensure API architecture and API design standards are embedded in the Delivery Teams across the globe.
• Actively contribute to improve the Enterprise Architecture by closely cooperating with Enterprise Architecture and peer architects.
• Create and maintain architecture models in ArchiMate.
• Ensure the baseline Architecture and API architecture is always up to date and meets the DLL ArchiMate modelling standards.
• Keep track of modern trends in API architecture and digital channels.

Day to day

• A thought leader on Application and API architecture, aware of latest technology and market best practice and very able to support and coach your peer architects on your area of expertise.
• An IT Architect with over 5 years of experience in Application and API Architecture, preferably in the international Financial Services Industry dealing with the increasingly digital needs customers.
• Accountable for the quality of applications and API by providing professional guidance and by performing quality assurance activities.
• A networker, responsible to develop and maintain the Reference Architecture for Applications and APIs for DLL that connects to the needs of all stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, able to balances long term strategic direction with short term needs. You are result driven and apply expert judgement to decide when to submit an exception to an architecture standard to drive business change forward.
• Comfortable in working in an Agile delivery model enabling fast delivery of the investment portfolio continuously ensuring strategy objectives are achieved as well.
• An Excellent communicator who easily can interact with management in the domain, able to convey complex process and IT subjects in senior management terminology.
• The coach for peer architects and developers in DLL who stimulates their professional development while driving the adoption of architecture in the team.
• Open to learn, always having an outside in view focused on the customer to ensure that the Architecture of the domain anticipates timely on market developments and customer needs.
• A thought-leader, able to pro-actively align the Process Architecture with the Enterprise Architecture.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience building system integrations.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Azure-based systems.
• C#
• Excellent communication in speech and writing in English.
• Proven affinity with digital business models.
• Thorough understanding of modern application architectures on various application platforms, API, Event-driven, Microservices and SOA technologies and practices.
• Broad understanding of strategy and architecture modelling standards.
• Thorough understanding of financial industry business models and specific business processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in Application and API Architecture preferably in the financial industry, including Cloud-native application development and lifecycle management.
• Experience with a variety of applications integration patterns
• Experience with microservices architecture, SOAP and RESTful (API) services.
• Proven experience with Azure Integration iPaaS
• Experience with Identity and Access Management, CI/CD, Application health and performance Monitoring, Logging etc.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management
• Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and coding practices, such as encapsulation and inheritance
