Job description
As research assistant, you will help conducting quantitative and qualitative research on understanding gender differences in perceptions and approval of self-interested motives in organizations.Men have higher salaries than women, and are more likely to be in leadership positions- gender differences that cannot be explained by abilities. This research project will investigate whether gender differences in expectations and approval of self-interest contribute to this gap. Specifically, this research will discover whether individuals approve of self-interest more in men than in women in the domains of leadership, negotiations, and intra-organizational volunteering.
As research-assistant, you will help with designing and programming experiments, contact with organizations, and data collection (experimental studies and/or interviews). You will help in preparing and analyzing the data (coding and statistical analyses). Contribution as co-author to ensuing scientific publication after the duration of the contract is a possibility.
This position can potentially be integrated/ combined with a research master internship and/or master thesis.
Your duties
Depending on availability, we are looking for one or two research assistants (total 0,6 fte).
Affinity and experience with quantitative research (e.g. R, JASP, SPSS) is required for at least one of the positions. Due to the external contact with organizations, this also applies to the ability to speak Dutch.

What are we offering?
A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of a minimum 2.618 euros and a maximum 2.846 euros, depending on your education and experience. The job profile: Student assistent is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0,2 FTE.The initial employment contract will affect a period of 8 months.
