What are you going to do

The group compliance manager of Royal BAM Group plays a critical role in the group-wide Compliance activities. The role is supportive to maintain an effective ethics & compliance program to ensure compliance with integrity standards as laid down in relevant legislation as well as data protection regulation and requirements. As part of this compliance role the Group Compliance Officer will be managing data protection for the Corporate Centre of Royal BAM Group.

• Leading by example to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, integrity, safety, and wellbeing within BAM Group, attracting stakeholders and positioning BAM as a long-term strategic player in the industry;
• Overseeing Compliance and Data Protection for the Corporate Centre, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices;
• Executing or coordinating compliance activities aligned with the Group's Compliance three-year plan;
• Making recommendations for enhancing the quality of the Compliance and Data Protection environment;
• Promoting awareness of Governance & Compliance topics throughout the organization, aligned with training and awareness initiatives, and driving initiatives towards data-driven, forward-looking compliance.

Your working environment

Reporting hierarchical to the Governance & Compliance Director, you will work closely with the other Group Functions and divisional Compliance and Data Protection managers. You will support the Governance & Compliance Director with reporting the progress of Compliance activities to the Executive Committee, Executive Board, Ethics Committee and the (Audit Committee of) the Supervisory Board. The location for this role is Bunnik.

• A salary between 7.630,- and 9.540,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and excludes 8% holiday pay;
• Good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure collective labor agreement, such as a budget for sustainable employability (2,18%), variable compensation, 25 vacation days, 15 schedule free days and 3 short-term absenteeism days per calendar year;

Who are we looking for?

We're seeking a candidate who not only embodies the core values and behaviors of BAM but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement, strengthens controls, and drives results through effective governance and compliance practices. Strong functional competence, showcasing deep expertise in compliance and data protection.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant areas of compliance and data protection activities;
• Preference for experience in a stock listed company, although equivalent experience in large multinational or non-listed companies, or as a Compliance Officer of a large European company, is also considered;
• Experience ideally gained in an international project environment, such as construction, engineering, oil and gas services, maritime, dredging, or related industries with a strong project-oriented character;
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance and data protection processes, as well as related business controls;
• Fluent in both written and verbal English and Dutch, as proficiency in these languages is essential for the role.
