• The Permit Coordinator ensures the smooth processing of permit applications. The goal is to ensure that the airport has the necessary exemptions or environmental permits (flora & fauna and environment) on time.
• The Permit Coordinator maintains close contact with external stakeholders (permit issuer, supervisor, consulting firms) and internal stakeholders. The primary focus of this role is on flora and fauna activities.

Enhancing connections

As an HSE Permit Coordinator, your main focus is on flora and fauna activities. Additionally, you play a support role in environmentally impactful activities and the general permit process within the airport. How you achieve results within this? It's up to you. We rely on your ability to distinguish between main and side issues and to establish connections. You bring your skills to:

• Evaluating project applications for earthmoving, demolition, or new/construction, on the required ecological assessment.
• Preparing the necessary information to obtain exemptions or (flora & fauna and environment) permits and monitoring and overseeing the progress of permit applications.
• Being a key contact for obtaining flora & fauna and environment permits. You also support and facilitate the applicant in their responsibilities. On-site project visits may be required.
• Initiating a partnership with the environmental agency to achieve an integrated assessment with a multi-year validity period, working within that period with a code of conduct.
• Serving as a liaison for permitting agencies; specifically the environmental agencies of North Holland North and North Sea Canal Area.

• University-level education with a degree in Ecology/Environmental Science.
• Knowledge of Nature Conservation Act/Environmental Permitting Decree/Environmental Law.
• Demonstrable experience in permit coordination, specifically in flora and fauna (legal/technical).
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in permit management for large and complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience and/or knowledge of project management.

You receive

• € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Scale 12).
• A 13th-month payment.
• An NS-Business Card that fully covers public transport to and from work.
• The opportunity to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour workweek.
