- As a Senior Designer Optics within the FORS Technology R&D team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Image Guided Therapy by advancing critical aspects of FORS technology.
- You'll lead initiatives to improve key aspects of FORS technology, conduct advanced development studies, and contribute to technology and product roadmaps.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you'll design, realize, and test key subsystems, ensuring compliance with medical device standards and regulations.
- This role offers significant growth potential, allowing you to expand your competencies while contributing to groundbreaking innovations that enhance patient outcomes globally.
- You hold a PhD in Physics or a related field, preferably with an optics related specialization or alternatively proven experience in a domain relevant to FORS technology; alternatively, a MSc in Physics or a related field with at least 4 years of proven experience in industrial R&D or product development in a domain relevant to FORS technology.
- Your background includes expertise with at least one of the following domains: design and/or characterization of distributed fiber-optic sensors, optics/physics modeling techniques, interferometry, (statistical) data analysis; experience with design and development of optical (sub)systems for prototypes and/or products is considered a plus.
- You possess experience with signal processing approaches. Algorithms, related programming skills and MATLAB experience is considered a strong plus.
- You possess experience with (medical) product development projects, from initial concept up to and including release for delivery; knowledge of medical device standards and norm compliance is considered a strong plus; the ability to work in a regulated environment is a prerequisite.
