    Summary:

    NIBC is looking for a Lead Information Security Officer to take the lead in its second-line Information Security activities.

    Job Description:

    What will you do?

    As the Lead Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for 2nd line Information Security. You will be exposed to all areas of the NIBC organization, further improving of the Information Security Management Framework day-to-day information security management tasks, such as:

  • Translate the bank's needs, market standards and regulatory regulatory requirements into sound policies, risks, controls and keep these up to date on an ongoing basis;
  • Further develop management information, including KRIs
  • Oversight on the execution of the policies
  • Support execution of policies, including but not limited to the outsourcing / third party risk assessments
  • Awareness and training

    • You are also involved in projects and change initiatives, ensuring that information security requirements are integrated in the process.

    The successful Senior Information Security Officer builds strong relationships internally, in particular the IT community and senior management and sets the direction for Information Security for NIBC and provides expertise to stakeholders.

    The team

    The Information Security function is positioned in the second line of defence and is part of the bank's Operational Risk Management (ORM) team. A diverse team consisting of professionals with various backgrounds. You will report to the Head of Operational Risk Management.

    NIBC's ORM function is responsible for actively promoting a "no surprises" operating environment, a transparent and consistent management framework of operational risks across all business units and activities in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Belgium.

    The Information Security function (3 FTE) is to establish a security strategy to enable business goals in a secure manner. Information Security is an important part of the NIBC operating environment and has implemented a robust set of controls, including policies. These controls need to be monitored, reviewed, and improved, where necessary, to ensure that the specific security and business objectives of NIBC are met. Next to that, comprehensive reporting and maintaining awareness within the organization is part of the function.

    What do you bring?

  • Information Security professional with a background in IT
  • Experience with policies and control framework
  • Having overview and identify and focus on the issues that matter
  • You have a professional attitude and an innovative mindset.
  • You have good analytical and communications skills; being able to translate InfoSec concepts to senior management level and vice versa
  • Relevant Bachelor and/or Master's degree
  • You have a minimum of 10+ years of relevant working experience
  • You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
